One of the things that some of you guys that have a choice of good dealers don't realize is that there are a LOT of places that do not have ANY good dealers.:( I agree that a good dealer would be nice to have, but many of us do not have that option locally.

I agree that a dealer is important.

I like the sales person at the local Branson and the Kioti dealers. I know nothing past them. Well, the owner of the Kioti dealer called me which gave me a good impression. I have talked to the Branson dealer service dept about the used 2910i. He was really friendly and helpfull.

The thing is, this machine is not going to be making me money. Will it make my life easier? Yes, of course! It kills me to think that my oldest will be almost in high school when my "tool" is paid off. Or my unborn child will be older than my oldest is now.

It's just insane for me to get on that kind of hook. I HAVE the credit and probably COULD make the $300+ payment. I just choose not too. I am willing to do the extra passes and work a 5' vs 6' implement.

I am going to continue to pursue the used 2910i and see how it all works out. Calling the finance co. in the morning.

Got another quote to deliver that new 2910i from NC... $1065! So, $13,500 + $1065 delivery. Still $5000 more than the used one but may be the "best" new deal? Next cheapest tractors new are Mahindra 2816 for $14,948 or CK25HST for $14,795.

OK, I know ya'll are probably getting tired of my posts... LOL!

BUT! The Kioti dealer called me yesterday to follow up. Told him about the used tractor I was gunning for. He said "Let me see what I can do and call you back." Well, he called back with that CK30HST for $13,295! $3000 cheaper than he quoted me two weeks ago. Something about a free loader program...

How can I pass that up???

The interest rate isn't the greatest, and to eat my words from my last post, it's only going to be $230/mo for 84 mo with a 5' shredder, 5' Disc, post hole digger AND insurance.

With the higher interest rate (7 vs 4.99) and implements included it is about $2000 cheaper over the life of the loan than the original deal he gave me.

To top it off, that used 2910i is becoming a hassle to clear financing. The owner agreed to sell it for less than she owes but can't come up with the difference. NOW she wants MY bank to pay the $9500. Then her and I would have to pay off the $700 difference before agricredit would release the title.... NOT! My bank wouldn't even give me any money without gaining control of the title... then SHE wants ME to save her credit and help pay off what she agreed to.

I think the CK is too good of a deal to pass on and the used one has become a headache.

Any reason not to go buy the CK30HST tomorrow?

Thanks to all of you have provided feedback!!

If you don't, someone here will. Now go get that thing and be happy that you got a new machine. What a great price, take advantage of it.

Trouble in paradise!

My father in law is helping with the purchase. He is a hard bargainer... to put in mildly. Well, the Kioti dealer will not match the Mahindra/Branson implement price. About a $250 difference on a 5' disc, 5' shredder and post hole digger. (All are Howse brand except the Branson dealer's post hole digger is Continental, The branson disc is sealed bearings where the Kioti disc is grease). He's about to cut off his nose to spite his face and go for the Branson 3510HST @ $17,700 TL because the Kioti dealer won't come down on the implements. Waiting on a call back from the Kioti dealership owner....

Should know something later today.

I'd be shocked if the Kioti dealer let a sale walk for $250!

But for arguments sake, would you say Branson 3510Hst is a better/more capable tractor than the CK30???? More Hp, Heavier, Industrial vs. ag tires, higher loader and 3pt lift cap, can use 6 vs 5 foot implements (cost more too is the down side).

Oy, it's been a long day bouncing between dealers...

a) the CK30 is a great deal - especially if you can get the implement price down the extra $250.
b) the Branson 3510i is more equivalent to the Kioti DK35 - so yes, it's a much more capable machine, although while industrial tires are more sturdy and puncture resistant, ag tires will give you more traction. (that said, I have Ind. tires on my tractor, too)

DONE!

The solution... upgraded the Howse 5' disc to a Land Pride DH1060 at no additional cost! I believe that Land pride costs about double what the Howse does. Called another local Land Pride dealer to get a quote and he said $1300! Score!

So,

CK30HST w/LK130 loader
5' Howse Shredder
5' Land Pride DH1060 Disc
Howse Post hole digger w/9" auger
5 year 2000 hr warranty - Dealer adds additional 1yr power train on all Kiotis he sells!

All for a total out the door price of $15,390!

Expect delivery of everything no later than Thursday :)

I am happy. I think we've done well!

Thanks to all who have followed along.

I'll post pics when I can.... I know ya'll like pictures :)

score!
congrats!

Called the salesman and thanked him for his efforts. He told me this helps everyone out.

They did not have the Howse locally so they would have had to ship it from their other dealership about 4 hours away. This was a good solution all around :D Not really worth it for them to ship and it made us happy. :)
