Update on the 2625. We need to remember this is an economy 50hp utility tractor. It was a 4x4, 8x8 shuttle with ind pto. If you want or need this size tractor with bells and whistles, this tractor is not for you. The 2625 uses a time tested proven design, limited electronics and manual controls. I had some minor problems to begin with, about 2 qts water in the fuel, in less than 30 min the owner of the dealership personally delivered me 2 fuel filters,as I had already drained the tank. The other problem was a filter came loose,my fault. My disc mower is an old greenland group that has a high hp requirment,I mowed the thickest, rankest Bahia I had, baled 7 rolls per acre. The 2625 could only pull the disc mower at 4.5 MPH and used about 2.5 gl fuel per hour. Lets be fair, the oliver 1855 could only pull the mower at 5MPH and used 3 3/4 gal per hour,in this grass. In young bermuda grass it cut at 5 1/2 mph and worked a lot less, Next I tedded a field of hay, had to look in the fuel tank to see if it used any fuel. I then raked 9ac with a 10 wheel rake, same fuel use as tedder. Now comes the test, M&W4500 round baler. It had all it wanted as this baler it is hard to run. After 3ac I switched tractors,MF492, as to not abuse the 2625, it run it but not great. I also used it on a deere 466 baler,4 rolls just to see what it would do,done a lot better with this baler. Just before the demo was done we used it on a NH 268 sq baler just to get the baler working, it didn't even know it was there. I don't need a 50 hp 4x4 tractor although it might be good using the loader. The trans is nice and easy to use. If you rest your foot on the clutch, I did at first to comfortable, your clutch might not last very long. With this size tractor I prefer a LIVE PTO for what it is used for instead of Ind pto. The Simpson engine was smooth as a perkins and seemed to produce its hp on a minimum of fuel. It done everything I asked it to do. Didn't have time to use it on any tillage equipment. This might be the best tractor in its class for the dollar? I don't know yet, still have 2 or 3 more to test. scrapironford
