2305 Curtis cab

The dealer put mine on. The cab is 5/16 of an inch taller than the ROPS. It is rather windy here so this was money well spent.

I plan to be a lot more comfortable battling the lake effect snow this winter.
Just left my dealer after ordering a cab and heater for my 2305. According to Curtis, they are "negative 13" with my order. Mine should be built and shipped in about 2 weeks. Price has not increased since last year.
I'll post some pics after installation.

Man wish I would have got my order in on a sold unit just yesterday before yours :) Just placed order for a 2305 soft side and ship date is 30 Oct.

Chipsndust -- Did you order the soft or hard cab? Just curious how long the wait is right now for a Hard cab as I am ording one this weekend.

Can't wait to snowblow this year in shorts and a T-Shirt....No more "Mr Snowman" comments from the wife anymore :)

My dealer did mention that it was good that we got our order in when we did. IIRC, he said that when they get to negative 15, the wait is a month.

I ordered a soft cab with heater. Not sure if the delivery time for hard vs. soft cabs is the same. I'm sure your dealer can tell you (mine did). I agree, it will be nice, "Mr. Snowman" will have to find another use for the Carhart suit!:)

l agonized over whether it was wise to have cabs for the work I do for quite sometime, finally in 2005 when buying a 110 I decided to get a cab no regrets and no broken glass so far. This year wnen getting the 4520 I knew it was going to be a cab tractor and should point out that the rear tires stick out way past the cab anyway. I would rather take a chance on cab glass than having a branch take my eyes out or worse. In 90%+ cases if you can drive a rops thru it you can take a cab too. I have learned better than to beat my equipment up, nowadays I use a pole saw to keep low branches trimmed.

Steve:
I had similar concerns, I thought it might be too hot or confining in the summer. I plan to take the doors off during nice weather (as they say around here, we have 9 months of winter, and 3 months of hard sledding).

Like you, I've learned to trim low limbs. In addition to snowblowing and mowing, I maintain trails through the woods. Learned a long time ago that the trails get overgrown quickly if you don't keep them wide and cut out overhanging limbs and brush.

One more thought re: cab I'm getting ready to order a Femco HCab vinyl enclosure and plastic window on front and sides with side entrance.for $450.00 will I regret it ? I just want to break the winds not the wallet

I bought the Original Tractor enclosure for my 455 last winter. It has a hard roof which is nice for mounting lights. It has doors on hinges and the front and rear window are plastic. I used it for snowblowing here in Maine and for the money it would be hard to beat.

I agree with pilot-werx for the money less than a thousand ,swinging doors, front window glass with el wiper, hard top and mirrors, appx 4-5 yrs old still looks new. Just put the back and side doors on yesterday. I had left frame ,top, and front glass on all summer. All the other yrs I had taken the frame apart and removed complete unit . Takes about 1 1/2 -2 hrs to do all ,this year maybe 15 min. Either way much nicer than setting in the cold , wind , rain and snow. Will let you know how heater works!!
