Hi chipsndust
Looks greatI have a hardsided cab for my 2320 on order. They said it should arrive by the end of Oct. So...soon enough I'll have my cab.
Question. I know my tractor is slightly different and the cab was different than the 2305, but how do you like it so far? Cramped? Shoulders, headroom, legroom etc? Blindspots? How is backing up?
I am a 6'0 300 pound guy and I fear I will be in a sardine can...BUT...I really need this to get out of the snow in the winter. All my life I have never complained about snow/cold, but after the snowblower turns you into a snowman....I needed to do something about it
Look forward to your initial review.
Thanks,
BILL
Bill:
I'll post a review of the cab after I get in a few hours of snowblowing. Of course, I haven't used it much yet, but I don't think you will feel cramped in yours. I'm about 5'-11" and 200 pounds, and when I sit in the seat, I can't touch the doors with my elbows. Your tractor is bigger, so I don't think you'll have a problem. Haven't noticed any blind spots (I put a rear work light on my ROPS), no problem seeing while backing up. Plenty of head room.
A couple of things I've noticed:
The bottoms of the door frames mount outside of and about flush with the tops of the hand grips on the fenders, so I can't use the grips.
Although it's not a problem once I'm in, I could hit my knee on the heater if I wasn't used to it.
I think a step would help a lot getting in and out. "Castiman" lives near me, has a hard cab on his 2305, and he added a step. Might be my next project!
