I plowed a lot of snow back in the days I lived in Ohio, used a pickup truck with an 8 ft western blade. It came with round shoes that were curved up all the way around. Several friends had the Myers plows that came with the straight shoes. We all found that when the first heavy wet snows came, nothing seemed to help from taking the gravel with the snow. When it came to short driveways we would take them off and raise the plow a couple of inches and GO SLOW. After the ground froze and we got the "regular" snow we never used them. So mine ended up on a shelf in the garage.
I finally solved the problem once and for all....... I moved to North Carolina!!!!!!
