Yeah it took me a day to get the shaft aligned, internal disc & end caps welded to the shaft, and then that unit welded into the pipe...
Took me a complete 9.5 hours to weld on all the teeth...

Me to. I had to youtube it. Works sort of like a tiller. But some vids had it on a skid steer and guage wheels on the front. So I guess you knock the bumps off with this, then drag it with something else.

Super job. The Harley people would be proud. I knew we were talking about going 6 or 7' on the drum. The one I bought and revamped has a 9" x 84" drum. My TC 55 has 18" wide rear tires and it just clears the path at a 15 degree angle. I have a guy interested in buying mine so I won't be getting rid of my spare parts too quickly.

My tractor is pretty much exactly 60" wide so with a 75" Wide drum, even angled out at a little more then 15 degrees I got enough leeway, I hated to go TOOO wide because then navigation & where I can use it...All in all, I'm super happy with the way it turned out..

Nice build.
I wouldn't have believed it home made, especially with those suspicious looking "OEM" decals. I suppose they are OEM decals since you made everything from scratch. Thanks for posting some of the build photos. Did you have any parts plasma cut or are they all home cut / machined / ground? Either way it come out perfect and no doubt you should be very proud of your accomplishment. 9.5 hours welding teeth? thats insane. Another home build that should be in the hall of fame. Congratulations!
Now can you build me a rock crusher that pulverizes rocks on the ground as you drive over them? based on the same principal as your power rake?

And you just gave me a destination for my spare tiller frame i have laying around.

With our rocky ground this thing should rock.

Besides a multitude of other uses i am thinking with a hydraulic side-shifter this power rake would be perfect to rake under the electric pasture fencing to keep brush at bay.

Very nice. I can already see a hydraulic motor set up in the works for one I would like to build. Did you use carbide for the teeth?

This little unit would be perfect for reworking land to grass after plowing. I have about 14 acres of rocky land that has been neglected. I have to plow it and I was thinking a rototiller would be handy after the plowing. But seeing your power rake this would work better in the rocky soil.
