Beater Trucks. Lets see em!

I know where its listed, I just never bothered to look. If I did at some point, I forgot. Memory tends to fade the older you get. :) I've rarely bother to check the oil either, maybe 5-6 times in the 5 years I've owned it. I change it every 10,000 km and its rarely down a 1 liter at the time.

1500 series 4x4, engine size? Beats me, I never looked, probably 5.7L

A 5.7 was never installed in an avalanch from the factory. Being a 1500 series, it is either a 4800 or a 5300 LS series small block. All I have seen were equipped with the 5300 vortec [5.3 litre].

Slice, that F-350 is a sweet ride. Kind of a Red Necks Dream, of which I am one. I travel to Texas about once a month and also to the Tulsa area and there are tons of nice older Fords down there. The climate is good to them and you guys love to put nice wheels on them and jack them up. Looks great.

5.3 it is, I checked this morning.

Thanks. Not anything major, and I hope you didn't go out of your way. I was just a little curious. Thanks, though.

I thank you. I am from mid west had to buy this truck from the mid west none found in texas to my liking. It does not show the hours of my sweat into it to clean it up. they used it for sure.... but its fun to drive now its only 4 inches of lift 35" tires. looks like more cause the 350 sits higher factory.

My beater and it's younger sibling. The DW refuses to be seen with the beater, so no pic of her with it :D
