Ratchet Rake - ever seen/used one?

   / Ratchet Rake - ever seen/used one? #201
Took a surprise delivery yesterday, just in 2 days since i ordered it. Hooking up was effortless about a minute or so. Well it blew my mind how good this thing tore through over grown and rocky area i been looking at for last 20 years. I installed it on a skid steer (Bobcat S185). I will post pictures and results soon, So excited to use it, I forgot to take before and after Pictures :D .

I got one to help clear some property and to work on my gravel drive.
Worked great on both. Thought it was pricey but I think everything is.
Worth the investment for me.

Welcome to the board!

If you think the RR is pricey, look at skid steer attachments! The RR looks downright affordable, LOL.

I was going to say the exact same thing. Wait until he prices grapples, tillers, backhoes etc. $300 or so is about the least money you will ever part with for an attachment to a tractor. Even a suspension seat costs more.

And, BX Newbie, welcome but...if you intend to participate in the board you might want to get a new screen name now. You'll regret the "newbie" moniker when you have a few hundred hours of use and multiple TBN posts under your belt. One guy who loves his tractor is still saddled with "UnhappyKioti" because of a problem he had early on when he was joining the forum.

my apologies in advance to ratchetrake, if as in the past, every post i make turns out to be a real thread killer (true, and i can't figure out why?). will post my user review after i get some hours of use.

hookopotomous regards, shrekbelly

Well crap shrekbelly, you went and killed this long running thread!;) Since no one else has responded since your post, I thought I would give it a try at reviving this thread.

You will enjoy working with your RR, I know I have. Many more projects lined up for it in the near future.

thavil,
i'm beginning to have real self esteem issues over being called, "shrekbelly, the thread killer!"
none the less, my contribution to this thread is . . . i ordered it this morning,
barbara told me they're going to ship it tomorrow (saturday 11/21/09).
somebody, get a kubota medic to help revive . . . this thread.
hookopotomous - regards shrekbelly

Their shipping speed is incredible. If it's possible you'll have it Sunday.:) I think you have picked the wrong thread to prove your "thread killing history". I believe people will keep buying these and those that have them will keep using them and the RR brings such a smile when used that people can't control themselves about telling someone what a useful implement this is. Since you can't tell none tractor owners "that give a big rat's" about your tractor and it's implements you have to talk about it with those that "care". That's here, so, I think this thread will run forever.:D

my ratchetrake was delivered in the blink of an eye. in fact, ups confirmed that it was delivered at 1:00pm at my front door . . . but it wasn't at my front door (theft?, wrong delivery address?) at 7:00pm , i happened into my garage and saw it laying next to my bx (am assuming it majically(sp?)-moved itself from the front door to kubotaville . . . it was pinned under my ezlandscaper toothbar (76lbs. vs 52 lbs.) in a garage match.
it mounted in minutes, even for a mechanically challenged thread killer like moi . . . hookopotomous regards, shrekbelly

OK, I may have to jump on this bandwagon myself for some lawn reno I have planned for next Spring. I have saved enough $$$ to buy one modestly priced implement and the RR is in the running right now along with The Thumb grapple attachment, but that one seems that it might be impractical for a BX. Decisions, decisions - like a kid in a candy store and only enough money for one piece.

(OK SB, you keep trying to kill this thread and someone will just have to keep saving it) :D
