Just discovered food service plastic gloves. They are cheap and they give good protection from grease when wanting to do a quick grease job and don't want grease all over hands, steering wheel and everywhere else. Also saves on water, cleaners and sink mess.

I have used regular gloves, qucikly soaking with grease, rubber gloves, which I hate to wear and no gloves; cleaning up when done. I also hate to pick up greasey tools when starting a new job. My tools are cleaned when done with a job. However, I can't count the times I have loaned out tools and got tools back dirty. Worse yet, how do you count the tools never returned?

Try those food service gloves. Hey....One can even be prepared, in advance, for a job at Burger King.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. ...Coffeeman

I just buy the boxes of nitrile gloves at Harbor freight for painting and greasy work. They fit tight enough to mess with nuts and bolts. Makes hand cleanup a lot easier

We also sell these to our oil company customers. We used to sell latex but some service techs have allergies to that material. I agree with the snug fit you can work on also anything.

I think in the same way, it's easier to take a pair of gloves off and throw them away, rather than having to stand there for 10 minutes scrubbing all the grit and grime out of the cracks and pores of your hands. I had been using some cheap blue nitrile gloves from wal-mart, but they gave your hands a nasty smell when you would sweat, they tended to rip after very little use, and they only came in 30-packs for about $6+. Recently I start buying these from Lowes: Finish Factor at Lowe's: 50-Count Disposable Nitrile Gloves - Fits All They're thicker overall w/ 2 mil thick textured finger tips, they're cheaper for more, and they don't make your hands stink.

If you're not wearing gloves, the best way to clean dirty hands is Fried Chicken!
