Backhoe backhoe? how much?

i may be selling a BH90X, low hours, hooked onto a NH TN75. Good condition. How much should I ask?

If you were closer, I'd tell you to ask about $500, and then I'd start watching Craig's list or the want ads.

Are you selling the backhoe with the tractor or separately?

I'm closer to him that you are.
I could get up there and SHOW him ~$400 CASH !!!
Maybe find another $15 or $20 if I turn out all my pockets,
$3 or $4 more, perhaps $5 if I go under the seats.

ive been in the market for a 3pt hoe for some time.

most nice ones go for 4-5K although my price point is 2-3K on a 9' unit.

what is the price of it new?

looks like about a 11' hoe. if so id start at 5-6K

Welcome aboard.
Does it have the optional mechanical or hydraulic thumb? Is it subframe or three point mounted? Does it run off of the tractor or it's own hydraulic tank? Photos, photos, photos. With them you probably would get a few P.M.s from interested parties.

The unit has a thumb. The price when new was about $8000+/-. That was a year ago. 1/2 price seems ok. Will have pics later. If anyone wants to come up here with $500 cash, come on up! looking for a good night of drinkin'! Seems like $500 is a cheap look. You guys are way too funny!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Bradco 611 which is comparable to yours as it digs 11' with a 14' 5" reach. It was a couple years old mounted on a skid steer. The skid steer was too small for the hoe so it didn't get used much at all. I paid 4k for it with an 18" bucket and had to make my own brackets mounting it on a TC 55 DA. If I recall correctly both brackets for tractor and hoe plus shipping was over 3k if bought new. About four hundred dollars in steel made the brackets complete with a front to back frame mount.
I don't know what the 611 costs new but my budget wouldn't allow anything over five. I'm very pleased with its operation and the quality construction. Good luck with your sale.

A new BH90X without the subframe is $6K without thumb but with bucket. If you sell to anyone with a different tractor, they have to buy a different subframe which can be $1200 or so. For $600 I'll drive up for it

I'm actually looking for that BH for my L3130.

The Woods BH90-X is a 9-foot hoe, and maybe half the weight of the
massive Bradco 611, an 11-foot hoe.

FLYINGCOW: did you get the mechanical or hydraulic thumb? The latter
is more than $1K more.

In good shape, that unit should bring $4K easy, even in this economy.

1/2 of new is a good rule of thumb. You can dicker up or down based on age and condition. Any I see for sale around here are $1K to $2K, but they are older and very used. What it's worth really depends on who you find to buy it. As was mentioned earlier, it will be worth a lot more to a guy with the exact same tractor that you have.

Here's something to think about... You may come out ahead on the deal to sell the backhoe/tractor together and go buy another tractor without the backhoe. It all depends on how emotionally attached to your tractor you are. If it were me, I'd go talk to a dealer and run the numbers on a lone tractor vs. the value of the TLB as a package deal.
