The hand throttle kit is a good and cheap fix for some of these situations. That way you can throttle it up and push gently on the hydro to get max pull out of it.

wonder if you had a chance to do this? My machine has wood in the back and I have not had a chance to play with getting this screw loose.

Yes, I turned it out 1 1/2 turns and it seems a little better. I put the brushguard agains my friends tractor tire and it spun the RTV's turf tires on gravel. Consequentily I have this pile of dirt that I mix with grass clippings and chopped up leaves to richen up for top soil. I use a tractor to turn it over every 4-5 months and then take the RTV and pack it down by backing up the pile (shaded like a ramp) so I can back my mower up it to dump the clippings on top. We turned it over after I made the adjustment and when I get towards the top if I stop it will not go backwards again. Just moan the same way as before. It is also very hard to disengage from reverse to forward at the top of the ramp. I don't have the relief valve that came out later and the shift lever will actually bend before coming out of gear if you don't shut it down first. I can post pictures if anyone wants to see what i am trying to portray.

Any suggestions?

Can you give me a little more information on these? Wouldn't this just be like giving it more throtle (via the pedal) preasure? Weren't these just for the aux hydro's at the rear of the Turf model to be used while parked and more preasure was needed for the hydro's?

What are the cost and are these fairly easy to install and adjust?

Can they be ordered from you online?

Thanks for the help.

can't be ordered online, but can over the phone. Using the hand throttle you can drive it more like an old school hydro where you can crank up the RPMs' and push easy on the pedal. They use them heavily in high altitute areas to get more power at lower speeds. I forget the exact price, like $75 or somthing, its not bad. Probably an hour to install.

I put one in last year, about 60-75 dollars. It took about an hour to install as mentioned. It does nothing to get more traction to the tires, that is a trans issue. I still have not had time to play with our adjustment as mentioned on the servo, might get to it this weekend.

OK, I tried the old double nut trick to try and break loose the adjustment for the servo. It worked like a champ, and no damage to any of the threads or the screw driver adjustment that would have gotten messed up. My machine we have had for 18 months or so, but I know it sat on the dealer lot for quite a while before we got it. This adjusting screw is of course steel, and it screws into machined aluminum. That caused some corrosion do to the disimilar metals. It broke free very easily with a small wrench, and after oiling it now it can be turned with you fingers which is what you would expect.

So, I turned it out some and gave it a shot. I'll know more after I drive it more, but I put my tow strap on it and strapped it to a guard rail and let loose. It spun the tires in 2WD and 4WD on pavement, which is what I want to see. I then did the same in the woods with a tree, and it dug some holes and spun. It's mushy out now, but the true test will be when I have a lot of traction and try to pull a tree or something. I may do that next week, but it's kind of mushy out there now.

Here is a picture of what this thing looks like with the double nut on it.

Loosen for more general use... Only do one turn at a time though...Warm up and test drive between adjustments. Don't get carried away.

Yea, it will be very interesting if this actually gets more power to the wheels. Now that I know where it is when it gets warmer I'll be able to do some more extensive testing. Spinning the wheels on pavement though in 4 WD I think is a good sign. And the engine did not bog either.
