ok, i finally did the servo and throttle adjustment. It made a good improvement but it still seems to be lacking. I cant get this thing up to 25. In the warmer months it would but now, it will not. I havent done the 50 hr service so im hoping changing the fluids to the Super UDT will help.

I have read the threads concerning the Kubota RTV power and holdback issues. I have a 2008 RTV 1100 that I feel can be improved upon by adjusting the RPM's to 3600 and backing off the servo. What I am not clear on, is the coast valve. Will adjusting the servo serve the same purpose as installing the coast valve? I got the idea that Matt thought these may have the same effect. I have thoroughly enjoyed Matt's insights and advice and would like to know his thoughts on using a coast valve as well. I heard of a kubota dealer in Greensburg, IN who is manufacturing and installing the coast valve. I may give him a call tomorrow and post his reply. Has anyone installed a coast valve and adjusted the servo? Secondly, what are your thoughts on using the air snorkel for improved air flow and adding life to the filter? Does changing the hydraulic fluid to the "super" thinner fluid make a vast difference? Is there anyway of safely bumping up the speed of the 1100 - maybe to 30/35 mph? As always, any input is very appreciated. thks, Vince

A recall is needed...Ain't gonna happen. Since Kubota and the dealers blame it on the customer...Nice policy.

I have a coast valve, I took it out and adjusted the thing so it did not send me into the roll cage... There is an adjustment on the valve where the coast valve goes, unscrew it a few turns and problem solved.
Adjusting the servo has nothing to do with the hold back.
Regarding the snorkel, the air filter does not get that dirty.... I'm not sure I could justify the cost of the snorkel just to increase the time to change the air filter....
Changing hydro fluid in my opinion made no difference.

did you change to the super udt? I can tell that the standard fluids viscosity is REAALLY thick as the temperature goes down

yes, I did put the super UDT in. I could not tell any difference, but I did it in the warmer weather before global warming got cancelled and Annapolis Maryland became the new Buffalo New York....
