Sure. I am going to shop for a week or two before I decide and Waco and New Holland could be options for me, if the price was right. I will PM you my phone number.

I have had a Kioti DK 35 for 8 years now (just inder 1400 hours).
It has been a very good, reliable machine.
Good luck in your search. Let us know which machine you chose.

I completely agree. The Boomer cab is the biggest that I came accross in the compact utility tractor marketplace. It's ever so slightly bigger than the Massey, a good amount bigger than the Deere or Kubota Grand L cab and quite a bit bigger than the Kubota B3030 in my opinion. The Boomer was the only cab that I could put the seat all the way back and have it be a bit too far back for optimal positioning. I'm 6'2 and fit but with very broad shoulders.

I ended up with a Boomer 3040 cab tractor. It was priced a little nicer than the Boomer 3045 which was cool but availability was the main reason I went with the 3040 over the 3045. The Boomer 3040 is identical to the 3045 with the exception of the engine and horsepower numbers. They have the same FEL lift capacity, hydraulic flows, etc. Since my primary purpose was going to be mowing in comfort and some snow removal in the winter with some driveway work and property prep work in the first couple of years of use with the tractor, I really didn't need the extra couple of horsepower that the 3045 offered and the 3040 was a great choice for me. I'm very happy with my purchase even if I only have 3 hours on the tractor since I got it delivered and wouldn't hesitate to make the same choices if I had it to do all over again. I'd definitely recommend the Boomer 3040 from personal experience as fitting your needs and being close in price to your range too.

Thanks for your input. I PMed the NH guy in Waco, but have not heard back. If you get a chance- check out the MF vs. NH video on the MF website. I understand it is going to be biased, coming from the MF folks, but I'd like to get an actual owners opinion of what they had to say.

Head-to-Head: MF1643 vs. New Holland & Kubota

AustinTx, if I were doing the chores you have listed, I would NOT buy a cab. I'd spend the money on a backhoe. Reason is, the tasks you mentioned involve getting on and off the tractor a bunch. I like being able to get on from either side. Unless you have a helper to adjust your blade tilt etc, etc...

Would I like a cab? H3LL yah. Can I afford one. Not yet. Even if I could afford it, knowing what I know, I'd be hesitant to buy one if I were just landscaping and building fences. The main reasons I want one is for mowing (25 acres) and as a defense against killer bees. I've been attacked by them before and was lucky to have a building to hide in.

What side of town do you live?

I saw that video before I purchased my tractor. Some of those things are no longer valid or at least aren't valid with the cab tractors. For example, there is a heavy rubber floor mat on the NH just like the MF, and my tractor doesn't have any exposure to the outside under the seat. I actually liked the loader control best on the NH, and it is different than the MF unit. The plastic fenders and hood didn't bother me, but I'll concede that steel ones like on the MF are more expensive. Also the MF clearly has a bigger axle, there's no disputing that. I really liked the MF tractors, heck I almost bought one, but I got a much better deal on a NH. For me, the plastic fenders and hood were a non issue and the bigger axle although nice wasn't enough to justify $3000 in price difference between the NH and MF. Oh and you can get armests for the NH, they just cost like $60 more. I do prefer the cloth seat of the NH to the MF's vinyl seat though. To sum it up, they're both great tractors and ultimately the NH and MF were my top two choices, but the NH just was a better deal so that's what I bought. The Kubota was a close third too, priced a little better than the MF but ultimately the 72 month 0% financing on the MF and NH put them ahead. The reality is that I spent a lot of time researching tractors as a bunch of people here can attest, and my research ultimately led me to believe that you can't make a bad choice in the CUT market. I really think all the manufacturers have some things that they do better than all the others and ultimately they're all gerat tractors.

I am in south Austin - around Manchca and Cannon

After thinking on this for a few days, I now think I am lean toward the TYM. Looks like I could get the 433 with cab, fel and backhoe for about 30k. Who cares if I have to trailer it 100 mis to Sealy a couple time a year for service? But I guess I better price in a trailer, too.

Am sure you have been to Lanford Equipment, I've been happy with them as my dealer. There are several tractor dealers in Temple and Taylor, might look at their lots to see if they have a used tractor with low hours. I found mine that way. PM me if you wish details of dealers I've been to. Drop by for a visit, I'm just 1 mile off I35

This is a very good point. You're doing your homework, getting very close to pulling the trigger,so close you've narrowed it down to one or two choices. Now grab the yellow pages( the internet is nice, but old style calling can shake loose a few items they haven't had time to post) and call around. Or use the yellow pages to find listings and google. This was basically how i found my buy. I was looking hard at the biggest Boomer(but i actaully wanted 75hp+, but couldn't afford it) they made or an = in other brands. Anyways(i'm hard to follow sometimes, i know). But here was my deal. 2009 TN75DA, 4-wheel, 16x16-mechanical shttle, fully loaded cab, FEL, w/ Woods 90x BH w/hyd thumb($9900 value) 300hrs on tractor(few scratches), 1yr warranty left on bumper to bumper, 2yr left on drivetrain. This was on consignment at dealership, owner had to liquidate his assets quickly. Bought thru the dealer, have all paperwork on warranties. $32,000.00. I sold my old iron and took that money and put down on loan, happy camper. But i had to put deal together quickly, about 5 days, or i was going to loose it. Wasn't any humming or hawing on this one. i was the 1st call on it(tues), went to see it on thurs, had 2 other guys behind me with cash ready to roll. But dealer was very good about their word. give me a few days to put it together. BTW, i got it thru Union Farm equipment in Union maine. Verty good people to work with. So did I get a good deal or what?
