Cab or No Cab

I'm just a tractor newb, but once I found out that I could get a compact utility tractor with an air conditioned cab it was a no brainer for me. A non cab tractor was out of the question for me. I'll mostly be mowing my lawn with the tractor (5 acres or more of lawn) but will also be doing some snow removal in the winter and other chores in getting the building site ready for my house. I'll be enjoying the tractor as a bit of a get away and wanted to enjoy using it as much as possible because I normally don't really enjoy mowing my current lawn. An air conditioned cab will keep me cool and comfortable and allow me to enjoy my alone time to the max as opposed to getting frustrated with getting dusty and buggy and sweaty from doing the lawn, making it more of a chore. I would definitely recommend a cab tractor.

Would liked to have a cab, but have a lot of young (short) trees to mow around. You can't trim small trees enough to mow around and still have them look right. Plus on the 2320 there is no way it will fit thru a standard garage door opening with the cab and we do not have anywhere else to house it and I won't leave it outside.

When you get into the smaller tractors, the decision becomes harder at least for me. I have no real interest in a cab for my lawn mowing due to the fact that I would have to use something else to trim and I don't want too many machines and I have some steep hills that would worry me with the added weight significantly raising my COG. I'm not saying I won't ever have one, just not now; can't get one for a 2660 anyway.

Get the cab and don't look back !

Don't ever pin down , hook a chain to, or anchor your BX (or any other tractor) to keep it from moving around while using the backhoe. There is a reason it moves. When it moves it releases energy, and keeps something else from potentially breaking. Just take a smaller bite, different approach, etc.
