Dude, that is such a misguided, silly, and just plain wrong post. Borderline insulting to all those that own a BX....it's lack of size to aptly handle a decent job. I said before in another post check used tractor listings, lots of BX's for sale but not hardly any B3030's (though they have stopped making them). Lots of people want to trade up shortly after they purches the smaller one...
Bigger is most definitely not better in a multitude of cases. Yes, I concede that my BX would get laughed at if trying to do a "real" job. This is NOT a piece of construction equipment.
Good thing none of the work I've done around my house is "real" work, then. Because on 90% of it, a regular piece of equipment wouldn't even have FIT IN THE WORK ENVELOPE. BX need only apply.
Mr. GDH, please listen to more objective opinions than this drivel. While it would seem on the surface that your chores would be better suited to a B, that doesn't mean the BX is useless. Trust me.
If you are between the two, I'd generally think that getting the larger of the two would be the better route to stave off future upgrade. A B wouldn't work for my property and I'm happy as a clam with my BX. If my acreage situation was different, I probably would have moved up to a B.
Hope the information you get on this forum is helpful.
EDIT: Didn't see that you recognized this comment as inflamatory...little late to the party, I guess.
