Attention B3030 owners & BX

To me, this forum has become a bit like a family. We don't get to choose our family like we can our friends but we are still family. I don't even like all of my family and I disagree with some of the things that some of them do, but they are still family. Most of them I can deal with but they are all family and I love them, may not like their ways but I love them. Some I love/enjoy more when they are away than when I'm around them.:) We share (in this forum) Kubota ownership which makes us Kubotians. I give and take a jab or two but not in hostility just "guys" jerking each other around. If your getting mad over a thread, then just drop out of that one and come back for supper.:) There are more threads that come up that you all can make positive or negative contributions to. New viewers, this is not a serious problem, it's just life and mostly boys being boys/girls, we agree on some things and some things we disagree on.:D There is one thing that is bad on some forums. Some people can hide out and constantly take pot shots at people and get nasty because they are anonymous and would never do it face to face. They are easy to spot. There were a couple over in a car site I frequented. Nasty little boys but that's part of the internet, the bad part. I post all my details so I can be more careful to not be a hiding nasty boy or girl. John Thomas is my real name and my personal info posted here is true. I often go to the personal profile of a nasty shooter on this forum and it's usually blank or very little details. Have a great day and don't say anything you wouldn't say to a persons face.:D

It would be nice before someone can become a member here he/she must complete their profile. Of course they could always put BS for their info.

I was ready to pull the trigger on a BX2660/curtis cab today AND THEN I test drove the cabbed B3030. I have "searched B3030" extensively but I would love to hear some testimonials/reviews on the B3030.
Do any B3030 owners feel like you would be better served by the BX? Why??
Do any BX'ers whish you had gone B3030? Why?
My primary use is going to be snow removal with a front mount blower? After the curtis cab on the BX, the B3030 is only 5K more ($83/month more over 60mos). So for me it does not boil down to cash, just utility & happiness with the purchase.
Thanks for your responses.

Didn't read through all the threads, but I'll add some of my opinions.

I had a subcompact Case (red version of the NH) on a 1 acre lot. There were times when it was just the right size, and times it was too small. My neighbor had a BX22, and I used that extensively when I needed the backhoe. He'd use my tractor with the implements I had that he didn't.

I moved to a more rugged mountain property on a little over 2 acres. Not a big lot, but I find my B3030 to be much better suited to the rugged terrain than the subcompact would have been. The B3030 is a much bigger tractor that still feels like a small tractor. I have 230 hours on the B3030, and have not once regretted moving up, and have often times been very thankful that I did move up. The B3030 would have been a bit much on the 1 acre lot, and without knowing that I was moving to a bigger, more challenging lot, the subcompact was a good choice at the time.

But the B3030 can do so much more. I can do things with it that my subcompact could never do because it was smaller and less powerful. You find all sorts of uses for a tractor, so the more capable machine you have, the more you'll find a use for it. Not all of those uses are typical tractor uses.

If you like the B3030, and have a big enough property, then go for the bigger machine. There are times I'd love to have a cab when I'm plowing my driveway, a half dozen neighbors driveways, and a 2/3 mile stretch of dirt road over the course of a 3-day snowstorm. I prefer no cab in the nice weather. As I get older, I expect a cab will be added to my machine for winter use, but it will be a custom homemade version or the Laurin cab to fit with my Kubota backhoe. The Woods backhoe fits on the cabbed B3030 if you ever decide to add a backhoe later.

For $5k, my opinion is to go with the factory cabbed B3030 - it's a lot more machine than the BX with an aftermarket cab.
