I am not political I,m independent and have voted for both parties.I choose the man not a party and I regreet I it sounds like any thing else.I,m just one old timer that sees this country slipping badly.I,m just asking for people to look at whats going on.We have to help each other because our leaders aren,t looking out for us,only thier own pocket books.

Sorry Crusty, Wasn't implying anything about you, just a general question for my own info.

My mail is often delivered after 4pm on Saturdays. I wouldn't care if there were no mail delivery to my home on Saturdays, it could even be an improvement. :)
Dave.

Quite a discussion you have started. :)

I have thought for a long time that mail delivery every other day would be just fine. Maybe 5 week days for the business's would be good, with M-W-F and T-Th-S for the rest.

Charge the junk mail and catalogs real costs and let the demand fall where it must. I don't like my 44cents to be used to support junk mail.

I didn,t take it that way only a general statement.Just the way I,m seeing the world through my eyes.We are not the country we were. But great to be able to talk about it without yelling at each other. Its too late for me but I,d sure like to see the younger generations be able to speak to each other because in my years I,v discovered that we really aren,t so different. We all love this great country thats given us so much,I want the best for my children and grand kids same as all of you.

I could survive without the Saturday deliveries myself if need be.But thats my way of life.Nothing is that pressing.I assume this is the delivery only. Id hate to see the office close as its the only time allot of people can do business there.

And I wasn't even trying :) I guess because it is a gov't outfit, the discussion will be bound to morph a bit.

I understand the sentiment behind charging real costs for junk mail, etc. however, that is just taking away one more real business tool from the USPS.
Dave.

I could easily live without Sat. delivery. I could even go without Wed. delivery. Most of our bills are paid online, so the few things buy mail we get could be one day or the other and wouldn't change anything for us.

Perhaps it doesn't belong here, but here goes.
I understand Republican Vs. Democrat, but does a discussion of an economic or a moral issue morph automatically into a "political" issue?

And if so, is it prohibited?
Just asking:)

Economics are fine since economics is a science and therefore apolitical, right? :D Moral issues usually quickly divert into religion
