It's amazing what you can find on the JD website:)
Scroll down the left column until you see GROUND SPEEDS.

Thank you. Didn't know that information was available on deere's site; I've never been able to locate it anyway.

thanks

Thank you, that link is over whelming. More information than I could have ever found.

thanks

Not really...
Your 3320 should have came with a similar manual and I hope you've read it.

One thing though, just as a word of caution, if you are driving on public roads, 16mph is often even too fast. I commute on occasion from my place to my grandparents with my 3520 and it is only a couple of miles. However, I have to slow down to about 10mph or so otherwise my loader and box blade are bouncing REALLY hard every time I hit an uneven spot in the road. I don't notice how bad the roads are in the truck, but I sure as heck notice with the tractor. Anyway, not even sure this is applicable to you, but just thought I would throw it out there.

I hear you........things can go bad very quickly at 16mph. On a 7.5 mile road trip with mine yesterday I had the cruise set about 15.5mph and thought "Oh, I can take this turn without shutting off the cruise" Needless to say, I shut the cruise off for the rest of the turns. :)

As a followup to jeffster's post about maximum road speed (and not going at full speed)...that quick steering that's so advantageous on a field can be a detriment when driving on the road.
That steering, a very stiff suspension (well...really, no suspension) and a very short wheel base (which is what's contributing to jeffster's bouncing), can result in an uncomfortable ride.
Faster you go, the more uncomfortable. Keeping the loader bucket and implement as low as possible (say, 12" to the bottom of the bucket or implement) will help some. Lowering the tire pressure will too, but do this with caution. You don't want a tire rolling off a rim at any speed.
Furthest I ever drove my tractor (the old 670) was 10 miles one way. That machine's top speed was about 11 mph. Wasn't a bad ride, actually.
I do suggest you have an escort vehicle behind you if at all possible.

My 3320 did about 17 before I put rim guard in the tires. Knocked it down to 16. I would think a 3720 would run about the same speed but would get there and stay there quicker and longer. I know pulling a wagon or trailer down the road sucks the horse power right out of my tractor and will not make top speed.

And maybe that's not a bad thing. This thread discusses a tractor's top speed over the road.
Part of "over the road" means coming to a safe stop. Pulling a wagon or trailer adds inertia to both accelarating and stopping (especially if there's a load involved). We all know tractor brakes aren't adequate in an emergency situation. And there's always a chance of jack knifing which can have dire results.
Two wheeled trailers can be daunting. That "bouncing" jeffster describes in his post can (and has) contributed to more then one out of control situation when towing a 2 wheeled trailer.

Well with my Turf Specials, I seems to remember having up around 17+ on a road, and it was kind of exciting. Down hill in my former 4310, I foolishly ran it up a bit higher with the same tires and scared myself a bit. OK

Tractors do not stop like cars.

Ok, I have it in my mind again.
