Good to hear, they must have made a formula change,,did you happen to ask about the "renew" oil,or get a MSDS?
The manager showed me where the
TRAVELLERS® RENEW Universal Tractor Fluid also states MEETS OEM specs of the recommended applications on the container which seem to be the same list as for their Premium UTF mentioned in above posts.
He said it has seal conditioners to help with older equipment leaks. In the link below you will be able to read the MSDS by clicking on the MSDS tab.
Here is part of the web blip and notice it is not from the TSC web site.
RENEW Universal Tractor Fluid
TRAVELLERS® RENEW Universal Tractor Fluid
TRAVELLERS® RENEW for Older Tractors Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid.
A PREMIUM Multigrade (10W-20) Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid specially formulated with the highest quality lubricating oils and the most technologically advanced additive system to keep OLDER tractors operating at peak performance while also meeting all the requirements of newer tractors.
RENEW is a non-foaming fluid blended to provide superior protection and performance for older farm equipment employing a common sump to lubricate the hydraulics, hydrostatic transmission, differentials, final drive gears power take off and wet brakes.
Benefits;
Seal conditioner softens degraded seals and valves to reduce common hydraulic oil leaks
Increased hydraulic performance. Pressure will improve during and after use.
Stronger water protection. Tolerates more water than other tractor hydraulic fluids on the market giving you better protection from water contamination, rust, corrosion, gear distress and sediment formation.
Increased wear protection for critical components
Improved low temperature pumpability
Wet Brake Protection. Brake chatter is suppressed by reducing friction caused by many years of heavy loads and high-speed stopping.
Excellent thermal stability
Greater protection against gear wear
Safe to use in all farm tractors new and old
Of course if it can reduce leaks and make the hoe dig better that would be a plus but the water in the JD backhoe is my MAIN concern since it was that way when I bought it last month. Tolerates more water than other tractor hydraulic fluids on the market got my attention.
I think I may just use the Premium line stock that I have already purchased in the dump truck and pay the price for the RENEW product for the tractors. If it makes the lift stronger on the MF and the hoe stronger on the JD that would be nice.
