Until shown otherwise, I still gotta believe Warren blends the oils for most of these autoparts, big box and TSC house labels, not Shell. Citgo blends some others, such as Harvest King, I believe, but am not certain. Plus, the Mystick label you see absolutely is Citgo.

It is funny you seem to be the only one on the internet that thinks Recommends and not MEETS is on the the Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid label.

Nothing funny about it, as i said in my above post thats what my store carries,they do have the Renew oil witch looks like bp fick pic but say's renew on it, and aslo like i said above " that could be the new renew UTF oil and they just combined the labels to read as your jug now and going away with the old"

daman1 I am here at TSC with the store manager and he states the picture you posted was the older line and the current Traveller UTF does actually MEET the OEM specs stated on the containers.

The manager showed me where the TRAVELLERS® RENEW Universal Tractor Fluid also states MEETS OEM specs of the recommended applications on the container which seem to be the same list as for their Premium UTF mentioned in above posts.

He said it has seal conditioners to help with older equipment leaks. In the link below you will be able to read the MSDS by clicking on the MSDS tab.

Of course if it can reduce leaks and make the hoe dig better that would be a plus but the water in the JD backhoe is my MAIN concern since it was that way when I bought it last month. Tolerates more water than other tractor hydraulic fluids on the market got my attention.

I think I may just use the Premium line stock that I have already purchased in the dump truck and pay the price for the RENEW product for the tractors. If it makes the lift stronger on the MF and the hoe stronger on the JD that would be nice.

Thanks for the link but yea i knew about it, read the pail at my store thats why i stated it meet spec,anyway our store only carries the renew and the premium(my pic) so i'll have to research see if there two different products or what's going to be new at my store,stay tuned......

i agree use the standard in your truck and the renew with the better additives for your tractor.

Won't make a noticeable difference in your hoe because viscosity is showing the same even tho it states "Increased hydraulic performance. Pressure will improve during and after use", i don't know how they came to that conclusion it's still a 10w20 oil,i'd call that part marketing, but the other more important anti wear adds is what you want with added esters(seal conditioners).

NENEW is to make the seals leak less so that would give net pressure increase after the change is my take on it IF they were leaking before.

In our store they have dropped the Travellers UTF that did not state premium and replaced it with a line from Milemaster out of TX. It meets the old JD 303 specs.

Before it was very confusing because the labels were very similar. The 303 line looks very plain in back cans with just one small label with no "sales" pitch.

In case the JD gets water in it again the RENEW's ability to keep working after water gets in it would be a plus. I would like to understand the HOW of that statement.

Tonight I learned at our location they do not have RENEW in the 2 gallon jug. Do you see it in MI?

DEMULSIFICATION..

UTFs lubes demulsify,basically water's dissolved in the oil then drained out during an annual oil change.

thats why it's important to do annual OC on hydraulics.

Yes,they have the 2.5 in my store along with the 5 gal pails
