If extra weight will not be a problem, I would fill the rear tires, this will make the tractor a bit less dependant on 4 wheel drive.

There's a lot of good reasons to fill those tires, and Nitro just added another one!

I do need to get some weight in the tires! I think that will help. I guess I won't sweat it too much. It is hard to tell if 4wd is engaged and I can see it being easy to forget about - leaving it engaged even unintentional. The shift selector being on the floor is kind of out of sight out of mind.. as mentioned looking at it from the seat it is hard to tell the difference.

Not sweating it is probably your best bet...just make te extra effort to ensure it's in 2WD if you operate on hard pavement.
