I would be interested to see a pic of those tires!

J

I'm off to the farm for two weeks on Saturday. I'll post pics on my return. I should have pointed out that my tractor is 2WD, and I use it mainly for bush-hogging.

I hear ya... what did you think of the pics I posted?
J

Your pictures illustrated what you needed them to. How long have you had your tractor? Mine is 4 yrs old. If I keep on going at the current rate, I'll need a set of fronts in 4-5 yrs, and maybe a set of rears in 10 yrs. I can live with that. Now if I get a 2nd (larger) tractor like I want to next year, with a backhoe I can spread the hours out a bit.... Will have to win over SWMBO first.:(

My friend has an l3400 that is 1 yr newer than mine, but he has a lot of sand at his place. He has 50 more hours on his (I just turned 150 hrs) and they are just like new, so it does make a big difference.

I have about 240 hrs (somewhere close to that) on my bota 3400 and my fronts don't look bad at all.

I do a lot of dirt work and a good bit of highway pavement towing the wood hauling trailers. Maybe 20 or so trips to the woods per year which is 6mi round trip for the last 3 years. so about 180 highway miles from that and probabally another good 50 miles highway doing this and that. (In 2wd though).

Loader is almost always on, and I only ocassionaly use it to mow. It is used a lot in the woods when cutting and other than that, just maintaining my 5 acres with a creek/ditch that runs through it. Which I have re-done twice. And maintaining the gravel drive, digging seceral stumps with FEL, a 3000 gal fish pond, just the usual.

I'll go out and take some pics but they aren't anywhere close to the OP's.

I had to replace my fronts after 900 hrs. Not due to wear but due to the fact that the sidewall blew out on one of them. I can use the second for a spare in a pinch, but I didn't want to change only one.

Pictures. 243 hrs on the clock. I had to get a screwdriver and knock some mud off of them.
