WOW! $214/gallon. Expensive stuff. I think I would have to go with something cheaper when the time comes.

$214 gallon for which product?

Gallon of paint at TSC is about $33 here.

Was looking at TSC primer, and it said not to dilute and to be applied with a brush. That's not what they used to sell.

As far as expensive paint goes, $214/ gallon is still cheap.

I've not had very good luck with tsc paint holding up very well to abuse. Are there tougher paints that are available. I'm not looking for $$$ automotive paints.

are you using hardener?

my tractors and mowers are covered in tsc paint.. and well.. it's still on them after years.. even on the mower sides.

only place paint don't stay is on the parts that engage the ground.. like ripper teeth and plow s and chissle teeth.

since bps paints finally got the new valspar name this year?.. some shades ahve changed.. and so did the primer.. etc.

I still sprayed the new primer using the old can directions and had no issues thinning with MS or naptha.

Industrial enamel is fine without the hardener. Before you get too caught up in the hysteria worrying about iso's, you should realize that the paint is still full of harmful, toxic, cancer causing chemicals, WITHOUT adding the hardener. The EXACT same protective equipment is STILL required when spraying it, either way.

there goes some of the paints toughness. valspar tractor paints without hardner are quite a bit different compaired to finish's where hardner was used.
