Has Mahindra Passed Deere in sales?

I don't even have a Mahindra dealer anywhere nearby. I have purchased three new JDs since 2007, so I'm doing my part. :thumbsup:

Just got home from a visit with one of the more successful CSA's on the Kenai Peninsula. The landowner's faithful old, Kubota has stopped turning the 540 pto... He's not sure just why - the 1000 still works.

Nonetheless, it's time to make hay and he needs a tractor! So, he's found a Mahindra to lease for the next couple of months!!

We have JD, Kubota and NH dealerships available up here - no Mahindra that I know of...

But, the $$/hp ratio was in the Mahindra's favor!!

They are probably on much better footing than many large American companies these days... Deere is probably just as likely of going BK as anyone, regardless of their loyal following here...

All it takes is a little mis-management...the bigger they are the harder they fall...

It is sad but there is NO reason to expect John Deere to be selling tractors as long as Mahindra. I expect Mahindra's may be made up of more Mahindra parts than JD is of JD parts even today.

With India and China moving into top positions nation wise their companies will control the tractor market just like the USA did for 40+ years. JD will not win the value war based on what I have seen. I expect they will got the way of Oliver and that is a sad story to read.

I believe it... I bet the marketing dept can "honestly" say Deere is #1 is global spray paint sales*

there is a big difference between claims and facts...and my guess is that if Mahindra was not using factual sales data (that they can prove)...Deere would not be sitting still over the advertising that Mahindra is doing...especially since it's a big industry marketing ploy...

Recently, I had a company tell me that they had a 70 % Plus market share in all Drum Mower Sales in the USA. I have yet to determine, how that could be proved or disproved? Seems you would have data from all manufacturers that sold in the USA. I am like a few of you, I believe data can be manipulated and I feel that may be happening with this Mahindra ad? Ken Sweet

Both Deere and Mahindra are publically traded companies on American Exchanges...
quarterly and anual report data can be had via Edgar online..

Any and ALL pertinent business data (this means bottom line sales) has to be factually reported... submitting manipulated data to the SEC can get them in very serious trouble...
