Ummm, I thought there'd be some few "washing machine in the weed patch" pictures.
Maybe I have a chance. Here's what happens when the job list is bigger than the available time, and the weed wacker quits working.

The 3th pic is the front yard, the rest are back yard pictures.

Man, those ferns grow like weeds around your place. We've got quite a few in the woods around here, but nowhere near that concentration.

The ferns stay til October unless I cut em down. The garder snakes like to hang out under them.. it's like their own tropical forest.

I have a question about that.
How can you tell what kind are the right kind to eat, or are all of them edible. I would assume that there are different varieties of ferns, right?

Fiddlehead fern - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yes several different varieties, not all are safe to eat in the fiddlehead stage.. If the ones you have are an edible variety they still can be dangerous to eat unless perpared properly.

Now in case you think I know anything about ferns.. I took this list off the wikipedia link above.

I don't know what the ferns on my property are and I don't think I'll be eating the fiddleheads off them anytime soon. Not unless a fern expert tells they're okay.

So, I guess its like wild mushrooms. If you don't know what your looking at it is best not to mess with it.
