Here is a pic(with circles and arrows) of the dipstick. As per my other post, put it back in with the flat side towards the center of the transmission.

I really appreciate this. I took off the cap and someone has removed the dipstick or it was lost and the hole seems to be filled with some sort of springs? Possibly the original owner lost the dipstick and simply filled the hole? Don't sound right but who knows. You never know with used items. The owner I purchased this from told me he tried to remove that cap but it was hard to remove so he left it in place. I removed it with a set of plyers. I will remove the springs and whatever else is in the hole and try to determine if there is any oil in the transmission. It runs fine so I would think there is oil? Possibly I can order a replacement dip stick? I am VERY hopefull it is ok.
