Thanks for your opinion ________ ______________.

Chris

You're welcome Chris ;)

I'll offer up a written review AFTER we get this tractor fixed. Possibly posting it across several Blogs and forums. Should "help", "the chinese tractor guys" SALES.

What we have here ladies and gents, is your classic redistribution of wealth anticipant. CrashTest clearly expects everything from us, while contributing absolutely NOTHING in return. Tommy can chase all the ambulances he wants. But lesser men than I would recommend lettin' the OP stew in her own juices.

If the tractor is "too old" with only 16 hours on it, then it's safe to assume it has done a fair amount of just sitting around parked, presumably out in the middle of a field exposed to the elements which will take it's toll on any piece of equipment and comes under the heading of UN-responsible ownership.
It's curious why you didn't contact your dealer at the onset of the symptoms and try to reach a conclusion.
I'm also curious to know if someone had your right arm up between your shoulderblades when you originally purchased the tractor.
It's very doubtful your "dealer" posts on this site as the four main contributing dealers have well stocked parts departments and very capable service departments as well. If you bought from a "boot-leg" dealer on the cheap, then you got what you paid for.
My guess is that the clutch pack, actuator shaft and yoke, are a rusted-solid chunk of metal. Split the tractor and replace it. Most folks use their tractor at least on a monthly basis. You are the first person in all my years on these forums (including heavy equipment) that has had these symptoms without admitting to neglect of the equipment.

Nice, attack the poster instead of the issue, ad hominem, ad nauseam.

Sorry, but yes the tractor is older and hasn't seen much use. It is sheltered from the elements. My guess is ya'll would have folks seal these tractors up in cosmoline then vacuum sealed for storage? Come on, seriously?

Greg, as for your smart alec comments, I HAVE provided the info for the problem, my friend. YOU started this fight with your smart alec RTFM reply. Isn't there some kinda political/general chat area you could be posting that garbage on?

The dealer and warranty info have NOTHING to do with a stiff clutch. But hey, way to avoid answering the OP. I have answered all the questions except the ones concerning the dealers name, which doesn't have any bearing what so ever on the tractor issue.

Wow, I thought some of the other "brand lovers" were tough, but you guys beat em all. :confused2:

If my couple year old tractor had that problem I'd be aggravated, but it's up to us to see beyond the normal frustration and try to help people.

JMHO and I'll leave the Chinese tractor experts to it. :)

Against my better judgement, but...

Comment wasn't necessary.

To the contrary; Your relationship with your dealer could have a large bearing on why you are here on this forum in the first place.

You already have my prognosis on the issue, so I won't elaborate further.

Not so. You should see the fights between Caterpillar, Deere, Komatsu, Case, Link-Belt, Kobelco, et-al, on some of the heavy construction equipment forums. A lot of those guys don't wear gloves and throw hardballs. (I stay under their radar).

Bought it from a Deputy Sheriff that owns/operates the tractor dealership on the side. He pissed and moaned the entire time about delivery and such because it's out in the sticks, 4 hours oneway, yadda, blah, blah, blah. Would rather not bug him anymore, besides it's OUT OF WARRANTY, the REASON I am here.
