man that is a good point, after the hurricanes when diesel was more than $4 a gallon it seemed like you could not give away a diesel truck. . . might work out for me although is sucks that some thing like that had to happen.

I stopped by my dealer and drove an F-250 Lariat 4x4 with the 6.7 diesel. Very nice truck, engine was smooth and quiet. The truck had 3.55 axles and moved right out with the 6 speed trans. If I was needing a truck I wouldn't hesitate to get one but it's not really much of an improvement over my '08 6.4 diesel to even think about trading yet.

Regardless if it truely effects the price or is just an excuse diesel is already up to 3.20 a gallon vs 2.60 a month ago...

i'm still not ready to buy yet, maybe around August or September. Anyway Yesterday i went back to the dealer ship with my drivers license in hand (didn't have it last time) any way got to drive it with my wife and we both like it. We drove an FX4 4x4, lariat, crew cab, 6.7, with it had all the bells and whistles sticker was 59k and after talking with the sales man and sales manager we got down to 53k. There not so much wiggle room on them right now. I told the sales man that we were still a few months from buying but if he would do 49k i'd buy today. He smiled and told me as much as he would like to make the sale he can't go any lower than 53k so thats where we stand.
I'm going to try and get the x-plan number you were talking about and see where that gets me. if it gets me that low i will open up the wallet and own a new truck.
Buy the way the truck did feel nice, and was a lot of fun to drive.

Well yes i got quote of 8k off msrp from a local dealership and ford sent me a $750 rebate on top of all other rebates. My wife tells me to just pull the trigger, but i have noticed a slow down at my business, seems like every day the oil spill drags out the slower business gets. The dealer ship that i've been talking to has been great, the sales man has been awesome, he knows its a lot of money, and he knows my business so he hasn't been putting pressure on me. Depending on how sales go this month i'll know more for Aug.

on the $750 if anyone is interested in buying a ford, go to their web site, build the ford you want, answer a few questions and request a quote from a local dealer. I have done this twice and both times they sent me the $750 coupon.
Its not good on SVT or some other little car that they have on special but everything else is ok.

I just bought a 2011 F-250, 6.7 diesel, King Ranch, 4x4. It runs real quiet, traded a 2006 King Ranch and this diesel runs a lot quieter than the 2006. I drove to Kentucky from South Carolina and got around 18.5 mpg driving around 75 miles per hour. Very pleased with it. Make sure if you buy one get the air condition seats.

Cograts.on the new truck, What color did you get? Did you get the nav package? you've got me all excited again. I'm starting to see a few on the road around here. What type of price did you get, local dealer here is doing $6500 off msrp + $1500 from Ford to give you $8k off. I've heard that Ford may bring back 0% apr in Aug so thats what i've been holding out for.
