Has Mahindra Passed Deere in sales?

I posted this about a year ago, I will have to dig a little deeper to figure out where I got the numbers from.

I did find these sales number for JD, CNH and AGCO

Total ag sales for '08

John Deere $16.5
CNH $12.9
AGCO $ 8.4

Total 08 net sales ...all equipment and financial operations

Deere = $28.438B

CNH = $18.476B

And for all you know, Deere has sued and/or filed the proper complaints. How would any of us know?

because as a Deere (NYSE: DE) stockholder I'm aware of current events int he co...they (any company publicly traded on US markets) can't hide "business news" from stockholders...anything (news) that can effect the bottom line has to be distributed smartly...

So I can guarantee none of us actually cares about that now either.

I wonder if Mahindra is also the leading manufacturer of tractors made with child slave labor. I watched a show on Discovery about child slave labor in India and it was disgusting.

Are you aware that anyone broadcasting false or misleading statements can be liable? That means all the major television networks (broadcast and cable) and radio broadcasters as well as the print media (and even NASCAR) could be liable to civil action by anyone that has the wherewithal to do so...

That means that Deere could sue every broadcast company currently running the Mahindra ads...and they are all the biggest in the industry...you can bet the farm that none of their legal departments would allow the spots to run if they could not back their claims...
