How many of you bush hog with a pistol strapped for snakes or pigs? Or maybe a Ruger 10/22 in a scabbard for coons and yotes? Or maybe an AR15 for the same situations. Just curious, because when I wear my pistol in a holster, the seat doesn't seem to as large as needed. And when I shred, I usually run out a few rattlers and many times have pigs jump out and run. I shot a couple nice timber rattlers last year from the seat and have shot and missed a couple pigs while moving.

Have a couple 50 cal. machine guns mounted on the front and a bazooka on the rear 3 point. Never leave the barn without them. Come on, do you really need to carry a weapon with you when you're on your tractor.................

I pocket carry a 9mm Kel-Tec PF9 everywhere (with CCL). So far never missed a rattlesnake. It's amazingly comfortable, never notice it in my pocket. Several folks on TBN do have a scabbard for carrying their favorite rifle. I don't have hogs and coyotes stay invisible when I'm tractoring, thus haven't missed out on shooting things at a distance.

I don't need to, but it sure is fun to blast away at Mr. no shoulders when they try slithering away. We have a lot of rattlers where I hunt and I mainly use the tractor to clear the food plots and clear the trails to hang stands. I take the tractor through the swamp and cut my way back to the trail head and run across many pigs and snakes. I was just curious as to how many did carry while working and if so, how they carry. I don't carry all the time, but some places I do and I am looking for more comfortable way. I saw the under steering column holsters at the gun show and thought they were pretty cool.

Usually, on the tractor, it is an accurate beater 357mag OM Ruger in a crossdraw. The crossdraw helps a lot for seated carry and allows easy access. Easy to route the seatbelt also.

I have never been attacked by any thing other than bees, briars flys, sticks, while running a tractor,,a firearm would not have helped in any of those situations.

A Walther P22 just fits into my tractor's utility box. Too uncomfortable to wear the belt holster. Around here the druggies are a bigger threat than the wildlife.

I have never needed my seat belt but the first thing I do when entering a vehicle car/ truck / tractor is buckle my seat belt. Just because I have never needed it up to this point, it doesn't mean I never will. I have needed a gun a few times and if I had not had one that few times I would have regretted it. A gun is in fact a tool one of many I carry. A gun is a better weapon than a screwdriver though.:D

Hmmm..you need a bigger gun than a 22 if it is druggies that are the problem...they might not even notice they were shot for awhile with a 22:cool:

Oh I think 10 long-rifle hollow points would get somebodies attention rather quickly. ;)
