Kubota factory installed radio w/cd/am/fm/weatherband = $427
or
Buy one aftermarket? It looks like it might be prewired.

Any other creative ideas?

Thank you!

I just bought an M8540. It came pre-wired and I had them throw in a generic AM/FM weather band, so you can save some money if you can install it yourself.

They do come pre-wired, I went with the w/cd/am/fm/weatherband. I think it was worth the cost.

I have the factory stereo, its a decent unit as it should be for the cost! The factory speakers are junk, i blew one moving snow last winter. I pulled the roof & installed a set of 40 watt kickers, 100 % improvement!

lawn_king, are the factory speakers in your 3540 mounted in the ceiling? What brand speakers did you buy? As you know the speakers in the B3030 cabbed tractor are mounted very low (behind the seat, stupid location) and aren't the greatest. I'm toying with the thought of replacements and moving the speakers to the ceiling area that other members here have done. I'm electrically challenged in this area. I don't get the + and - when it comes to speakers. Thanks for your info. Stanley

That's OK, all you have to remember is to wire them up consistently: + terminal to + wire, - terminal to - wire.
The + to - relationship defines the polarity, or phasing, of the speaker.
Generally speaking, all speakers should be wired the same way (i.e., same polarity, working together) for the best sound.
For instance if two speakers in the same proximity are wired up out-of-phase, the sound will try to cancel out at certain frequencies (i.e., fighting each other), and the end result is usually pretty undesirable.

Ok that sounds (pardon the pun) pretty easy. I thank you.
