I'm pretty sure I got that friction disk adjustment figured out -- just tight enough to hold.
But how do I get a broader range of effective control?
There is a good 10'' range of lever movement available.
But all the lift control, right now, seems to occur within about 1'' of lever movement.
Any way to get a broader range of control?
Or is this the way it is supposed to be?

Anyone have a diagram of this lift control lever?
Shouldn't the lever slide off after removing the outer pressure bolts & washers?
I think mine is rusted on.

Thanks

No, you should get instant lift or drop just by bumping the lever. You need to troubleshoot to see what is, or is not, happening. It might help to know what tractor you are working on.

I do get drop or lift just by nudging the lever, but this is all within about a 1'' movement range of the control lever. Since this lever's range is about 10'' (circumference), I would think there would be a finer control over that 10'' then doing all (drop or lift or hold) within just 1''.

should be, id look at all the stuff that pushes that button on the valve under your seat and watch as you work the lever. Mine takes it will its about 80-90 of the entire range before its to the top.

>>>Mine takes it will its about 80-90 of the entire range before its to the top.
So should the lift hold at different heights that correspond to different positions on the control lever's 10'' circumference?

I'll play with that control some more to see what more info I can provide.

There is some kind of flow control knob toward the front (under the seat). Anyone know what this is supposed to do?

Should I be able to slide the lever off after removing the outer pressure bolts & washers? I think mine is rusted on.

Correct my lever 3 inches from bottom stop will hold an implement lower than if i move it 5 inches up the range. This allows you to control how deep your say tiller or harrows run or not have to hold your bushhog all the way up while traveling.

That know should be turned all the way out!!! I think it says open close on it? It is the service stop valve. Basically if your three point hitch is in good enough shape to hold pressure it locks the valve out so that it is help up so you can get off and block it up and get under it to work on an implement. Only turn this to lock just before you shut your tractor off to see if it holds or do work. Putting it in the lock position and seeing if it drops or not tells you if your 3pth cylinder is holding pressure as it bypasses the lift valve which also could be leaking, this whole test is for if you cant leave the 3pth in the air after shutting off the tractor (trouble shooting a leaky 3pth)

Ii'd have to go look at mine to try and figure how it pulls off.

Go to the posts below proabaly still on the first page and open the one about draft control, i think there are some pics of 3pt lever assemblies there off others.

Thanks for the info. There was a cable that attached to the tiller this came with (no longer have this tiller and was not sure how to attach the cable). so maybe it was set up for that. I'll have to experiment a little with the other adjustments.
