Dirt Moving Basic daily maintenance

   / Basic daily maintenance #11
I forgot to add the 3 pt pics to help you to look at how it should look like when installed. I was fornuate enough to have my dealer help me put it together when he dropped mine off since I wanted ot test the rototiller I got the same day.

I suggest that you lay out the pieces like I did, and pull up to the tractor and install the crossbar and install the busings. then the j plate. keep in mind that I modified mine, I tapped my hole to use a regular bolt. Yours will be a bushing bolt with with no threads and its installed from underneath and held in with a small clip. Once the plate is in, then you can attach the side arms on both side and you are ready to go.

Thanks for all the info, photos and post. Will try and tackle the 3 point today. I'm going to call the dealer today and see if he will mail me a owners manual. I found a maintenance schedule on the kubota USA site.

That schedule is not model specific. It is generic. You really do need your owner's manual, warranty booklet and all the other stuff in the packet. No way the dealer is supposed to "skip" this. Maybe an oversight, but hold his feet to the fire. There is also a manual for any other implement bundled into this purchase.

I went out to check the hours this morning and put the seat in the over wheel position (seat collects water like a sponge) and what I thought was part of the machine was a black plastic bag and guess what the owners manual. Wow what a idiot. I should have bought "tractors for idiots"... 29.9 hr on it so far.

In your defense, someone from the dealer could have been thoughtful enough to point that out to you. You're OK though, your first significant maintenance (besides greasing) isn't for another 20 hrs.

Yeah - exactly what I told you. right under the seat. And no, not an idiot. just uninformed.

My wife painted over my sticker because I was traveling for a couple of weeks and she had to get up in the middle of the night to grease it.

Now I grease the loader about every 20-30 tractors but grease the bush hog closer to 10.
