In order to obtain the financing - Kubota is wanting insurance. So ok. I guess I need insurance LOL...

I all ready called my homeowner - Fidelity - they said no.
I all ready called my auto - Century 21 - they said no.

I give up... who else is there beside Kubota? Or do most people just get it under homeowner - as like extended coverage?

Thank you for your assistance!

I know you have this aversion to Searching, because it's easier for you...

but really, there are only about eleventy-billion threads/posts regarding insurance, so Search is going to be my suggestion. ;)

I think you'll find most folks have it on their homeowner's policy or thru Kubota.

Yup.

FWIW, I just went with Kubota. Seemed like very comprehensive coverage that could not be beat for a fair price.

Thank you for the assistance. Search is cool. 1st time using it...

Yep. KTAC looks reasonable - good coverage - fair price.

Just got back to back phone calls -

Farmers (they insure one of our rentals) said they can add an endorsement - doesn't cover flood - she wasn't sure if it covers when off property.

A friend of a friend referred deal out to a commercial insurance company - $1197 a year.

I went ahead & got Kubota's because 1) It seemed reasonably priced at ~$1,300 for 5 years (~$260/yr), 2) I'm not attorney material enough to confirm that my homeowner's policy actually covered it sufficiently, 3) I figured if I buy Kubota's insurance they can't try to weasle out of any situation because "Hey, you coulda got our insurance but didn't", & 4) It seemed like really good insurance, since from what I remember it covers the entire tractor no matter where it is & no matter what the reason.

I just bought my new tractor a couple of months ago. I did minimal research with my own insurance company, but quickly realized they know nothing about tractors and it would probably be a nightmare if I ever made a claim.

Kubota insurance premiums are based on the selling price of the tractor and implments covered. Don't care what model, price etc. The dealer has a handy scale that tells him (or her) what the premium is based on price.

I spent around $45k for my tractor, cutter, scraper, forks, ballast box and a few add-ons to the tractor (not including sales tax and insurance). My insurance came to just under $2,500 for the entire 60 months. This is a little less than $500 per year. Talking to other home/hobby tractor owners (not professional business tractor owners that have different insurances all together), the money Kubota charges is very reasonable. On top of that, I feel 100% confident in making a claim if I ever have to. The others? They're not so sure.

The insurance premium was added to my loan, which I did with no down payment. Financed it all for 0% (taxes, Kubota insurance, implements, etc.).

Kubota insurance covers you on or off your property. Their little booklet does a good job at explaining in layman's terms what is covered and what is not. It is pretty good insurance in my opinion.

P.S., I hate to bring $$ figures into discussions, but I felt it was for the good of the discussion. Nothing worse than talking about money but have no real figures to go by.

I agree. Nice of you and Beppy to be willing to share, I'm sure some will find it helpful.

My homeowners (AAA) only allows 10k$ coverage on motorized [items] used on the property. Seeing how my ATV is already on that, and the tractor cost more I went with Kubota Insurance, and in CA I can keep it after my 0% is up.
