I am going to have to stop drinking while I read these posts.. I narrowly avoided spewing iced tea thru the nose when i hit this one! :)

I'm glad I entertained you at least! I've read many of your posts here and at antique tractors and you have been very helpful during the last year at helping me make decisions and narrow down what I really needed. At the time I looked at the pic, I was 4 hours away from the tractor, so didn't feel like turning around just to figure out what it was...

Ken Sweet,
You're right because I've decided I'm going to buy it. It's taken me almost a year to decide on a tractor, since I went in knowing nothing, and I still have a lot to learn, but this forum has been a very valuable resource, and I'm guessing I'll need it more, now that I'm becoming a tractor owner.

Thanks RickB for all your answers!

Congratulations, I think you have got a good solid value for the dollar spent. Let us know when you get her home. Ken Sweet

Ahhh  :, the store manager just called me back (after working out a final price with me over the phone and asking my banker to contact him this morning), and said that another salesman had put a deposit on it Sat afternoon, so it was already sold. Seems funny, since he was the only salesman there on Sat when I looked at it and he's the store manager. So, the search will continue...

I could almost feel this going down. That kinda tractor in that price range don't set around too long. Lots of people watch this forum, members and lurkers. Hang in there, there will always be another day and another deal :) Ken Sweet

that figures.

I can see a tractor setting by the roadside for sale for 6 months with no people stopping by to see it. If I go see it and get interested.. it will sell that day.. or it will have a deposit on it from 1 hr before i got there. never fails.

good luck.. you will find another one.
