We do collect IP addresses on the surveys to identify unique results and weed out duplicates.

We do not use the IP addresses for any other reason and do not cross-reference the survey IP addresses with server logs.

That's too funny! It gave the wrong town, the correct ISP, but the wrong company. If gave NOTHING that could identify where on my ISP's network I am located.

As I said before, the most they can trace to most people is their ISP and that is it! They cannot identify your name, your home address, or the color of the pajamas you are wearing while surfing the web, either.

Called ID is more dangerous than a web survey.:confused2:

Moss, I just clicked that link and they have my location exact...they also had a list of all the programs on my computer....that stinks ! Something must be wrong that you are posting this...try it again...Very scary...

The number of surveys I would agree to do based on a website are very small. The total is one, and this was it.

Moss, if you were closer I would invite you over for a cup of coffee to discuss the oxymoron, internet security. When I called, the caller ID would make you think I was across the street from you, at John and Barb's.

There are several free proxy servers available for anyone that wants to browse the interent anonymously...just google "anonymous browsing"

if you're really serious about it...get an old (working) computer and install Linux on it then install the package called "SQUID" and set up your own proxy server and you can make it look like you are anywhere (in the world) you want...

there are also anonymous "re-mailers" that let you send e-mail anonymously...just don't break any laws...

It showed you dead on as to where you live? Right down to the street address? And had a list of all your programs on your computer?

All it showed me was a google map of the next town over (where my ISP is located) my networking information (they need to know this to tell the information where to go), my browser version and plugins (they need to know this so they can display the page correctly in your browser) and the whois lookup, which shows my ISP (and the wrong company name).
