The temporary fix does seem to reduce hydraulic squeal volume. It also appears to take longer before it occurs, but the cooler temperatures may also play a part in this. It does not eliminate the noise, but it is more bearable. The squeal can still become very annoying after 2.5 to 3 hours of hard transmission use in both directions. An example of this is moving a loam pile. Other types of tasks that don't use reverse as much do not appear to get to this level of annoyance. I'm still verifying this statement, I need to use the tractor more.
The temporary fix was to replace the very short steel tube between the HST filter and the transmission with a longer flexible hydraulic line with two 90s at the mounting points. This helps to reduce the amplification of the noise or pulsation transmission through the HST precharge supply line. It also reduces fluid friction. If for any reason you remove this short steel tube be aware the bolt for the transmission side is a little longer. From the Kioti visit it does appear they are aware of the issue and are working towards a solution. The sooner it comes the sooner I can sing the praises of Kioti, but my jury still out on this issue. It is a step in the right direction and I do appreciate their visit.
