Are there any Tractors " Manufactured" in the US anymore.?

I don't mean assembled...I mean other than Caterpillar is there any American Tractor manufacturer left standing that still actually manufactures their tractors on US soil...Engines and say 90% of the parts ? Just curious..Thanks.

Hard to think of one company doing 90% other than doodlebugs.

i don't even think CAT is still in the farm tractor business. i think they used to be but sold out to AGCO who still uses CAT engines in some of their larger tractors. you'll see "CAT powered" on the side of the hood but CAT didn't build it, just the engine. it's an AGCO tractor(Challenger).

1 - Have your product made my a foreign company and pay the employees $2.00 a DAY for 10 hours of work, or..............

2- Have your product made by American Union workers at $750.00 a day plus benefits, taxes, regulation up the wazoo, health and safety, workers comp, labor standards, harassment laws, labor law suits, forced health care, environmental laws and rules, air quality regulation, water regulations,insurance, power regulations, cap and trade, strikes, government inspections, fees, fees, fees, fees, and more fees..............what would you do?

See it's a simple decision isn't it. Now you know why nothing is made in the United States any more.

Let's not forget that "American Made" does not guarantee higher quality/value... and non-American Made does not always mean lesser quality/value.

the sad and annoying thing about unionized labour in those sort of jobs is that the artisans aren't there ... through the magic of the assembly line that expensive labourer spends his whole day putting a nut on a bolt, putting the assembly on the line and doing that all over again ... and at the end of the day, a $2/day chinaman or indian can do that just as capably. However, it seems the guys in charge of their castings should make $3/day so they make em a tad better

When I first began buying Toyotas, my brother who is a mechanic advised me to always check the VIN to make sure it started with a J instead of a 5 as 5 indicated it was "Made in the USA". There use to be a difference, but I don't think there is anymore at least from what I can tell as my last few Toyotas were "Made in the USA" and have been really good. According to what I see, "American Companies" are also making excellent vehicles too.
