Kubota L 3700 SU

Very strange. All the L3700SUs I saw here in Maryland had an FEL mounted and the bucket was quick connect. The one I bought was that way on the lot. But, if your dealer says that the FEL is coming by ship, by all means believe him.

Minor correction...they are waiting on Kubota to ship the loader to the dealership in Fl. where they will install and then ship the package to me. They told me that there were manufacturing constraints on the loader packages, the reason for the delay. Sales rep. seemed sure of his report that it would have a pinned bucket but.......

As before, I'd rather have the quick disconnect bucket but can certainly live with pins and bosses!

After 27" of rain since August 1, my road is a proper mess. Need tractor!

I'd think twice about not getting the standard quick disconnect bucket. There are quite a few attachments for skid steers that you might want in the future.

I'd have to agree with that statement. Mine has the pinned bucket, and I think it's a poor way to save $500.

Once in a while, it'd be nice to take the bucket off and add forks, etc. A lot easier to do with the QD bucket. It'll also boost the lift capacity of the loader 200-300 lbs by removing the bucket.

Thanks guys for the bucket comments.

My use of the machine here is very focused, less than an average small farm in the states. I need to cut 3/8 mile of road shoulders, 3 acres of fields where it is flat enough, move crushed stone and grade.

The bush here grows up to 4" a day and torrential rains wreak havoc on my steep road.

I can't imagine needing forks, grapple, etc. I might get the QD bucket anyway as I don't think the dealer knows what he will be receiving from Kubota.

Will I be satisfied with the machine, in any configuration? Here's current technology on Recovery Hill:

I've never heard anyone who bought the quick attach bucket say they wished they had gotten the pin on, but many who say they regretted getting the pin on bucket. It's a pretty expensive switch after the fact. Hold out for the quick attach.

The L3700 can have either a pin-on or QA bucket. It takes the same loader as the L2800/L3400.

Understood. What is "standard" with the L3700SU package is the question.

Some here maintain that the QA is "standard" but my dealer, Florida Coast Equipment said that the Pin/Boss arrangement is standard. Of note is the fact that although they had the tractor in stock, loader packages have been running behind and they were awaiting shipment of mine. Could they be wrong and is the QA standard? Don't know but for my intended dedicated and limited range use, I'm not spending extra money on QA as an attachment.

My budget is already so far over that of the wheel barrow and shovel that I've got a nervous twitch!

The one I saw here didn't have the loader on it, so it could have either. The dealer may have the option of ordering it either way, some I'm sure would prefer to "hide" the cost of the QA in the package price. That's fine, as long as the price for the pinned model reflects the change.

Whatever!

I went though three dealers and got a different tale from each. End of story, I ordered from the dealer with a competitive price, local shipping to my freight forwarder; wired funds and hope for the best. These days, if my fund transfer results in an actual shipment, I'll be satisfied.

Bucket attachment is the LEAST of my concerns. You guys with a dealer, good or bad, up the road have leverage. Us guys, throwing retail money at equipment that will never benefit from warranty, insurance, or even assurance that the product will be shipped are a different story.

I have work for an L3700SU, fixed bucket and done!

Can you spot the dealer from the customer(s)?

Now that's funny.

I believe you will really like your tractor and Kubotas are really easy to maintain. We do all of our own service.
