I went from a 2006 F250 w/ 5.4 to a 2009 F-350 w/ snowplow pkg and camper pkg Rancho shocks V-10 and to be honest it rides a heck of a lot better than my 250 rode. My wife even says its a smoother ride than her Jeep liberty. I had 42 bundles of shingles in the back as the heaviest load and it hauled them. PS. I definitely knew they were back there though. I agree with upgrading to the 350.. The price is marginal and why go through all the grunt work etc for aftermarket addons when you can upgrade from the factory cheaper and they do the work..

Plus its legal then. No matter what the F-250 is going to be 1,500# short on payload over a F-350 when you look at the GVWR's.

Yeah but 25 years ago you wouldn't even think about towing over 16k lbs with over 3k lbs of tongue weight without a class 5 truck or larger. :thumbsup:

Stop arguing boys. Haha. I may be a Dodge guy on the inside, but they're both great trucks right now and while the Fords are disgusting looking, they are tough trucks, (not as tough as my Dodge but still, lol) you guys will never agree. We all know that, but would it hurt to tell Dmace he has a nice picture of a Dodge working that 16,000lb load? Just once? Haha I'm kidding with both of you. :)

I bet it could with that very reliable, tried and true proven diesel engine they have. What is it now 6.7, 6.4, 6.0, 7.3...?
They've had to redesign those engines so many times due to poor reliability, failure to pass emissions and recalls, I've lost count. :laughing:

Now that is a load. I am guessing 14,500# for the dozer, 6,000# for the trailer, boat has to be a solid 300#lol, and the other stuff another 800# for a total of around 22,000# Am I close? :thumbsup:

Dozer is either 18,000 or 22,000, depending on which internet information or data plate you believe. Trailer is 7,000. Of course I found that out after I made a 400 mile trip.....lol.
