2011 Superduty are out! ! !

Dozer is either 18,000 or 22,000, depending on which internet information or data plate you believe. Trailer is 7,000. Of course I found that out after I made a 400 mile trip.....lol.

Heavier than I thought. I had a 25' GN with 2 12,000# tandem dually axles and it was 5,800# before I put the second spare on it, chain box, battery and winch.

I guessed way down on the dozer. My neighbor has a Case 600 dozer but I guess yous is a lot bigger. His only weighs 14,000#

Even at 18K, thats still a heck of a load.

Anyway, love seeing all these Ford Superdutys.

Haven't you read forums like this? You can't tow that kind of load.

Yeah, but what is the boat made out of? :) Aluminum or fiberglass?

HaHa....now you guyz got me feelin bad....OK, I'm gonna start studying for my CDL, apply for a DOT #, etc. etc. ;)

Aluminum boat...I got carried away at the auction......think I've used it once!

Just venting here. I have a 2004 F250 and love it. I started looking at the new 2011 model superduty's and low and behold no 6 speed manual transmission. Did some more looking GM doesn't have a manual transmission either. Looks like Dodge :( is the only one to offer the manual. I had one Dodge didn't like it, but I'll go back just for the transmission. Very disappointing.:(

There's been quite a bit of discussion about the 'auto only' over on the truck forums. Most of the old 'manual die hards' agree that the newest autos are very intuitive, do a better job than the manuals, and improve mpg too.

Yup no stick shift for Ford but you can get a real nice "man-step" and I heard they have the largest lip-stick mirrors available. ;)

I have heard it all now. Going to Dodge for a transmission.:laughing::laughing: The manuals are fine but they have 10 times the tranny issues when compared to GM and Ford.

Its the way it is. I personally would not own any vehicle with a manual again. I was done in 1986. The new automatics, especially in the GM, Toyota, Nissan, and Ford trucks, with tow haul modes, manual shifters, and 5 and 6 speeds is the only way to go for towing. 99 out of 100 would agree. You must be the 1 and only guy still hanging on to gear grabbers.

By the way, you better hurry up and buy before Dodge follows suit.

This may have been true in the early 90's but not since the 2002-2003 redesign. The 545RFE and 68RFE have more than proven themselves since 2003.

I not surprised you left them out but Dodge also has a 6 speed auto with manual shift (ERS) and Tow/Haul mode. Plus they were the first to add an exhaust brake. Who's following suit now...

The reasoning for no manual shift on the Ford and GM diesels is that the "V" engines do NOt produce the bottom end torque that the inline engines do.
The last v-engine (GM) that I saw was a 2003... There may be newer, just saying its the last one I saw. With the automatics, they can keep the RPM up where the engine is willing to make power..
