Orange Tractor Syndrome...appears to be contagious!

The doctors have reviewed your case history, Mr. Thomas. If there's ever a vaccine for Kubotitis, you are going to be the first recipient! :laughing:;)

It wouldn't work. I have no proof but it my theory that Kubotitis is something you catch when you visit a Kubota dealer. Since JohnThomas frequently visits Barlow's he's most likely built up a strong resistance to any vaccine. I think for him it's a lost cause (and should buy that RTV900 :D ).

That is one of the symptoms. When you become exposed, you have a overwhelming desire to increase exposure until full blown infection occurs. You go to great legnths to acquire the illness, even to the extent of contacting know carriers on the internet. Barlows is a great example, you can also check out our advertisers on this site. I have been blessed with a super source locally, so most of my internet contact came after the infection had been assured.

Kodiak is a great example of how infectious this can be. You would think you would have been safe due to proximity, yet here you are!

One would think being on top of a hill in the Caribbean islands would also be a safe spot, but it doesn't appear so.

It is pandemic it seems. Wonder why the CDC is avoiding us? :laughing:

Never thought I'd get the orange disease...the HST version of this virus is fantastic...makes me want to move my right ankle in my sleep. I'm really enjoying the cure of not having to lift anything heavy any more. I guess I'm a gonner!

:laughing::laughing:
Just got a email from one of the summer neighbors, after me doing some work for him this summer he wants his own and is wanting to buy a bx24 if I will haul it out for him
:laughing::laughing:
Doesnt take long for that virus to spread after all.

I hope they hurry because I'm still pondering the Kubota RTV900.:)

I recently got the 1140. So far it's been great; I really enjoy it.

The only downside is that my wife decided it's really hers. She's put well more than half of the hours on it so far.

Orange or Camo?

If that vaccine is ever made available, I would ask for a second opinion! :laughing:

Kubotitis is a condition with many positive aspects and has no detrimental effect upon your longevity or social acceptance. There are some limited side effects, but even wives tend to find those agreeable as you are out of their hair and not underfoot for hours at a time as you gain seat time.

Some of the beneficial aspects are increased satisfaction levels as you find you can accomplish so many things yourself as well as a feeling of independence for the same reasons. Frustration levels are greatly reduces as a result of the so called "Orange Reliability" and while the occasional susceptibility to repair is rare, it does tend to drain the wallet at a higher rate than other color conditions. Fortunately in the long run, this depletion factors well in comparison.

I have it on good authority that some conditions, such as Belsariusacititis can be a much less pleasant affliction and have fewer redeeming side effects. Count yourself fortunate that if you had to be afflicted with a tractor related condition, you contracted one of the more favorable ones.

Orange or Camo?

It looks like no one on this forum wants to help me resist the temptation of the siren sounds that emit from Barlows as I drive by. A new bypass has opened which has stopped my number of drive bys by 50% or more but the draw is still there. I'm not sure they haven't installed an amplifier system.
When I drive by now I try to look at the Interstate Battery distributor building and the new Water Company office being built across the highway but my head still turns to the field of Orange for at least a glimpse.
I had (almost) talked myself out of the RTV900 since I don't really have a big need for it and my finances or lack of finances was creating a big obstacle for me. Well, I bought/traded for a new/different car with lower payments, my home mortgage lender (Chase) contacted me about renewing my home loan (4.95%) for no additional cost and for one percent less (3.85%) interest rate per year than I'm now paying and my wifes new health insurance plan itself is reduced by more than what the monthly payment will be on the RTV900. How can I NOT buy it I ask???
My major question is......the hydraulic dump is one thousand dollars more than the hand dump. How hard/difficult is it to dump with the hand dump?
Won't do alot of hauling but I said I would rarely use a FEL and BH before I owned one.:)
Other problem/attraction is I've looked/studied all of the other comparable RTV's and they are priced two or three thousand dollars more than the price Barlows has given me on the RTV900 with hydraulic dump. The others also do not have decent financing incentives like Kubotas 0% for 60 months.
Again, how can I not buy a Kubota RTV900 and stay in the fold of us believers of spending our money to enjoy life now and save what little bit of aging body that we still have remaining rather than save a bunch of dollars to worry about being robbed or being debt free when we die with an estate to be sold and most of the proceeds given to the government.
Also that tempter Steve Barlow has offered me a price for a new one that is less than the price I'm seeing asked for used ones. Don't know whether to Bless or Curse him!:D
Orange is the color. I've aquired an attraction for Orange now that I was infected with about 7 years ago.
Twelve is also a good even number and that would be like a case of twelve hats.:laughing:

John,

You know you want one.

I've had my RTV 900 (Worksite with hydraulic dump) for a year. The shifting is quirky at times, but I (and more importantly, the Missus) love it.

I can't say anything about the difficulty of dumping without hydraulics, but it would obviously depend on what you are hauling.

As I recall, the manual dump model does not include the brush guard -- a necessity in my book. Adding a brush guard adds a few hundred. One of the dealers I spoke with told me that less than 10% of the 900s he sold had the manual dump. I would think that having the hydraulic dump would add to the resale/trade-in value.

My original quotes were $12K or slightly less. I found a dealer with one of the previous year's models (with the pressure-release knob?) that quoted me $11.3K. That gave me a bargaining chip and I got the then-current model for $11,450 from the dealer that was nearest to my farm.

Go for it!!!!:)

Steve

We own two Mules and a Rhino and I would love the option of a hydraulic dump bed.
