What type of truck, pickup frame or cab and chassis frame? Are you running a crossmember for the cylinders, or attaching them directly to the frame rails? I'm very interested in your project, pictures would be great!

I think the original poster was talking about a cab and chassis pickup with a dump body.

Yes, I Will be getting a cab and chassis. I already have the gooseneck, and it is not a year old yet. The original plan was to get a heavier duty truck with a gooseneck hitch, just like the one I have. I then figured, since I was spending so much for this truck "the last one I would ever need." why not go whole hog, and get it with everything I could possibly need, IE a dump body with a built in Gooseneck

I've got a dumping flatbed with a goose neck hitch. The hitch is attached to the frame and the bed has a removable cover to get to it. I will see if I can get a couple pictures tomorrow when I'm at the shop.

What about a bumper pull gooseneck dolly ? It would pull better than a gooseneck, but still allows you to use the dump body at the same time.
You see a lot of slew ring, or turntable steered trailers behind Jeeps, Patrols, Pajeros and landies around here.

Because in your country, brakes on all axles are not mandatory, you can just get a simple deckless single axle trailer and weld a gooseneck hitch on it.
If you insist on brakes on the dolly, make sure the trailer itself brakes harder than the dolly or you'll jackknife it on snow.

I am shopping for a new to me Diesel dually. I run a gatormade 22.5k goosneck trailer. I would love to have a dump body, that has a goosneck hitch built in. Has anyone on here seen one, or know where to get one?
Davy, what will be the length of the flatbed dump body? Will it be like 12-13 feet on a long wheelbase cab and chassis or something like 9ft on a shorter wheelbase? I have also considered a project like this but my truck has a 12' body.

Whatever you do I think attached directly to the truck frame is the way to go. Is attachment to the body even legal, I don't know.

That would be great toxic. I would like to get one made for a full size chassis, from a supplier. If not I have a good weld shop/fabricator local to me. That could modify the flat bed. I am looking for a 12 footer:D

I can envision what you are talking about, because I was stationed in Europe for a few years, and have seen some very unique rigs.. However, since I have never seen that set up anywhere in this country, or on any web sites I visit, I am making the assumption that it is not legal here, thanks for the suggestion.:thumbsup:

I will be puting it on a straight frame f450 that has 60" cab to axle but has 12' bed on it now and I am going to make a 8 1/2 foot dump on it. I saved the bed off a old grain truck and I am shorting the frame of it and lowering it by taking the wood off and puting steel on on it. I the cyl will go in side the frame. I will shoot some photo's hoping to work on it some in the next week or 2 as I just ordered the hydraulic pump.

In a lot of states here in the US, you are only allowed to have one ball hitch, i.e. a fifth wheel or pintle hitch on one trailer and a ball hitch for the second.
