Frontier coupon - what can I buy?

I got a $100 coupon from the deere.com website that can be used for a "Frontier attachment." Do you suppose I can buy an i-match hitch with it?

I'm kind of confused about what constitutes a "Deere" accessory vs. a "Frontier" accessory - as the Deere attachment brochure includes both Frontier-branded equipment and Deere stuff. Shouldn't it apply to anything in the brochure?

you could take your $100, throw it away, and save more money by just buying the attachment from the company who actually makes it. I always get a kick out of Frontier because most of it is just other companies implements painted green and doubled in price.

look at it.... often they leave the nameplates from the OEM on the attachments. Right now they are using worksaver blades, I know in the past the PHD's where Woods. This does seem to change from time to time, these are not always long term relationships.

I live a half hour from any major equipment dealership so it's not feasable for me to make any comparisons right now, will keep your advice in mind. The only other alternative is for me to go to TSC, whose attachments I know are low quality. My Frontier RB has only their name attached to it.

In order of comments:

1. Gobblin Tom: click on the Deere site "memory game" promotion. You have to give them your email address to get the coupon.

2. Messick: I like the Deere imatch the best - no screwing around with grinding & welding, etc.

My experience here in Vermont is that the Frontier stuff is pretty comperable to Kubota pricing, but a tick more than either off-brand or direct from manufacturer. The most recent exception came from shopping for a 54" rear blower - the 48" (rusty) Meteor was on special for $1895. The brand new 54" Frontier was $2100. The better quality paint, chute adjustment bar and impeller on the Frontier seemed worth it to me - let alone the resale. So, a $100 coupon makes it even more enticing!

How is wrong for Deere to repaint, rebadge and/or resale other manufacturer's equipment when Kubota does the same darned thing? Aren't Kubota's blowers made by RAD? I was quoted $2500 for a rear mount for my Kubota B2920... which lead me to check out the $2100 Frontier.

Yea they are, so are most of the blowers Deere sells. We try not to sell stuff thats just painted by a middleman. The Kubota blowers, PHD's, pallet forks, etc are all way over priced. Why pay for paint applies to every brand.

To answer JDGreen227 question I purchased from a John Deere dealership a Frontier GM1072R finishing mower 2 years ago. The gearbox has Woods in the casting. Also the woods manual is the same manual that came with the mower.

Thanks for sharing...just curious, what would the price differential have been between Frontier and Woods?
