Mowing How big of a disk mower?

Drum mowers are heaviest and sickles are lightest. Drum mowers also are the cheapest, less moving parts.

My 3011 weighs 4000 pounds and has more than enough power to run the 2 meter Krone disk mower (no conditioner) but in damp grass, there isnt enough weight on the front wheels to make it track straight, i have to countersteer untill the wheels find grip, when i correct that, it takes a bit before the wheels find grip so i'm continuously correcting it.
On hills it would be a whole different story, then it wont be just an issue, but a pain in the ***. the 5245 weighs 8000 pounds and you dont notice its there.

Good point. I did not consider the strain it would put on the tractor pulling it to the right all of the time.

What about a 9' sickle mower, too much?
