Buying Advice Kubota RTV 1100

Question for the other 1100 owners...Do you get a power sterring whine when it's good and warmed up? Noticed this when it was 90 out and again on Saturday. I've only run it for a few hours constantly a few times..That's when I notice it. I think I've seen others mention this, but not sure. Want to see if it's normal...Warranty is out in March..I think.

I just get a whooshing or hissing sound as I turn the wheel, have not held it against the stops at high throttle though. I am using SUDT if that matters any.

That's what I get once it's warmed up, not going against the stops just turning..You described it..Guess it's normal.

Well I put 2 hours on my RTV1100 tonight in the snow with the heat on and listening to the HD radio. All I can say is wow...it's so nice to be riding around in the snow and not have to dress so warm that you can't move.

Me too..Plowed for 3 hours last night and an hour so far tonight...It actually gets kind hot in there. Flannel shirt and no gloves..this is living.

blew the lift actuator fuse last night. May have been my fault though.

Besides the benefits of the warmth or coolness of the cab, has anybody ever told you the benefits of having a remote start on an RTV 1100......... it is nice to have it at the right temp when you get into it and not wait for it to wrm up!

I can see a benefit of a remote start because when I start mine I'm ready to go and the few minutes warm up time kills me. I could start it in the house and by the time I got down the steps and around under my deck (RTV1140 garage) it should be warmed up enough to go!! Are these remote starts readily available? I'll research but if you've done found the best working deal, let me know where and how much.

The guy I got the remote start setup from lived up on Camano Island in Washington and was selling them on eBay but I think I have seen him on the forums here before. It was a remote with three buttons and a board that attached to the key switch with one relay latching for the igniton and other two mometary for glow plugs and cranking. Makes it nice to get the diesel warming up to hop in and go.

That would be nice...I'm thinking it might be just a step too far though..

Talking to the neighbor the other day and she said it was "cute" I corrected her and told her that it is a Kubota and is not cute and it is a TOOL!!! Show me one of these "Toy" atvs that will hall a ton of gravel.
