BX22 Year???

How to I find out the year of my BX22?

Kubota does not, nor any tractor mfg, produce tractors by model year. Best you can do is have a dealer run the serial number to find out when it was first sold.

It was either 2002 or 2003. I believe 2004 the BX23 replaced the 22.

I know the 22 was new in 2002 as thats when I picked up mine... SN is less than 20.

Can only go by what my dealer had told me.

Looks like tractor data agrees with the 2002-2003 year range. But its the internet, so who knows if its true. :laughing:

My understanding is most MFG's don't put a 'year' onto the models so it is sometimes a bit hard to really determine year/years of production.

just found a link on kubota's web site listing years of production for discontinued models.

I can't remember back that far but is or was their a sticker/decal on the engine stating it meets EPA codes for a given year? My BX has this on the engine and I use that as a reference for it was probably with-in a year or so of that date.

Is this a valid thought or just another bad idea from a senile citizen?

I sent the serial number over to my dealer so hopefully he can decipher it.
