B3200 Vibration Update

   / B3200 Vibration Update #131
Yes it is. Its made from a small garden tractor plow by my Wife's great Uncle. Works awesome for keeping the concrete clean in front of the garage when the snow is not to deep. Even has shoes and trip springs. I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my deck and parking pad where snow is concerned. If i get a half inch on it I clean it off.

IS that a wheel pusher snow shovel I see by the right corner of the garage door?

I am so glad for your sake the issue was solved quickly and it runs fine now.

Does the B3200 have a screen in the filler neck of the fuel tank? if not you may want to install a Racor Diesel fuel water separator filter on it to protect it further- I have an 500 FG3 for my home heating fuel tank system too.

its really depressing when you see all the crap in some of fuel that is pumped these days (I went to buy K1 kerosene from one of the locals HESS
to be specific and low and behold it was dyed diesel fuel!!!! OH WELL my salamander eats that diesel fuel with no hesitation and warms up the engines really well so Imay end up just buying it to solve the issue.

;)

No filler neck screen.

No filler neck screen.

i would buy the fuel funnel that has the water separator then too at least or the racor fuel filter water separator filter; The 500 FG has a very large sediment bowl to allow all the dirt and water to drop out and eliminate any possible rusting in the injection pump.

Your Kubota dealer should not have an issue with this at all as far as voiding your warranty protection.

maesco.com - Mid-Atlantic Engine Supply Corp.

you may have a racor dealer closer to you but this is where I bought my filter unit.

Thanks for the info. I think I may have read about these in Farm Show magazine but I can't remember for sure.

Are the new B3200's still having the vibration issues? And...does the vibration issue also apply to the B3300SU??? Thanks!

If you start one on the lot cold and the engine acts like a 2 lung john deere with a pony motor you nowthat the injection pump has been moved from "Zero top dead center".

The vibration issue will not go away!!!!!!!!!, as the B3200 engine and the smaller ones are the units targeted by the EPA and the new laws required reduced exhaust emmisions diesel particulates in the exhaust.:eek::thumbsup:

The B3300 is identical except for mid pto. The vibration issue will be the same and except for some cosmetic dressings Kubota has done nothing about the vibration. Timing has proved to be a problem on some and fixing that has made some improvement.
I have had a B3200 for over a year now and I must admit it is not a big deal for me anymore. I am sure that the vibration is less and I am use to it somewhat now to the point where I know it is there but 'big deal'.
It is best to drive one on the lot and make sure you run through the total rpm range.:D

Hello gentlemen,

I am new to this site and new to kubota, so I thought I would share my story with everyone, in relation to this vibration issue in the B3200's.
This past june I went to my local dealer and purchased a 2010 B3200 with loader and backhoe. They informed that it would be a month or more before i could get the loader and backhoe attatchments, so i decided to wait untill they came in. The following week I got a call from my salesman saying they had a 2010 B3200 tlb "DEMO" unit I could check out with only 20 hrs on it. I went and looked at the tractor. It looked brand new, and for the 20 hrs, they discounted it $1000.00. I paid CASH, and took delivery of it a few days later, and thats when my nightmere began.....
To make a long story short, it was delivered missing parts, had bolts loose on the loader and backhoe mounts, and the vibration was very noticeable. At 50 hrs the vibration was so bad I could not stand to run the engine up over 2000 rpm. I called the dealer and asked them to come get the tractor to address the vibration and some other issues. . After a week and a half I never heard anything, so I stopped by and found out they had not even looked at it. So I left pissed off, and an hour later I got a call saying it was all normal, which absolutely did not make me happy.
I began my own investigation...come to find out, the tractor was a 2009 used machine. I obtained the previous owners info and contacted him. Sure enough, he purchased the machine and returned it a month later because of the issues.
Because this story is much more involved, I will spare every detail.
What I learned is this Dealer lied to me, fraudulated documents, and tried to cover there steps, but my experience in the field gave me the resources to find out. I contacted kubota and the owner of the dealership. They both lied to me and tried to cover this up. I demanded a brand new B3300su. A week later my new tractor arrived with no manuals, and a broken headlight, ...however, they stuck me with a used loader and a used backhoe with 6 months of warranty already gone because it was on the other tractor. Kubota said they would extend the warranty on the attatchments, but never did.
Above and beyond all this...I am very satisfied with my B3300su because it has NO vibration. But, I lost my confidence in Kubota and found out my local dealer was dishonest.

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry you recieved the S&*^T and shinola
treatment from this dealer:ashamed:.

The vibration issues are simply because of the repositioning of the injection pump to alter the engine fuel delivery timing and reduce the exhaust emmisions that the EPA has targeted as a major pollution source from small
diesel engines.

If they had installed a catalytic converter for the small engines the vibration would have never become an issue as the indirect injection pump fuel delivery sequence /timing would never have occured.

Its nt the engines design fault as thse engines are used in other uses with no modification of the fuel delivery timing advancing it 8 degrees at top dead center.

I would strongly suggest that you contact your attorney and draft a letter of complaint detailing the entire episode from the beginning bypassing the regional representative for Kubota in your area and mailing the letters to the the Kubota home offices in both California and Georgia AND mailing the same copy to your states attorney generals office and it will be solved quickly by the attorney generals office as they have commited fraud and theft and breach of contract against you.

Tried out a B3200 today,32 degrees outside. Glowed it for 10 seconds and turned it over. It started right up, but coughed and missed for about 15 seconds then smoothed out. I let it run for a little while. At idle the selector levers were rattling. I ran it up through the rev range and did'nt notice any major vibrations, but there was definetly a light vibration at PTO speed.
If the timing adjust would fix this I would really love to buy one of these.
