B3200 Vibration Update

I talked to the mechanic that changed the timing on my 3200. He said the timing needed to be advanced 8 degrees because the pump was injecting the fuel too late in the compression stroke.

Thanks for the info. I had my 1910 into the shop a few years ago to rebuild the injectror pump and it hasn't started as good as it used to. I replaced the injectors after that too. I think I'll have to check the timing.

Yes it was dealer serviced with about 5 hrs on the clock and of course under warranty.

Was the under warranty just for this or was something else wrong. Was there some kind of service bulletin or did you complain about the rough start?

Mine vibrates as well but I was willing to live with it because I did not think anything could be done about it. Mine is very rough starting if it gets below 40 to 50 degrees. Even with 10 seconds on the glow plugs in the upper 30's or low 40's it has 2 cylinders dropping out for a few seconds and then 1 for a while longer. Lots of black smoke and soot.

It went in just for this issue because I complained. My dealer has FANTASTIC customer service and will bend over backwards to keep you happy. I have previously had Green and a Korean built Kubota wanabe and I have had the best customer experience with my Kubota because of the product and the dealer. All three of these above mentioned tractors were new. I am very happy with the tractor in spite of the timing issue and would buy another one if I ever feel the need.
I'll try to post a video on youtube when it gets really cold to show you how well it will start. I'll post the link on here when I do so.

Thanks for that. I would say mine starts as good as yours. Is there any difference in starting from 20F to 60F. Mine has always been above 40F when I start it.

Starts about the same no matter what the temp. I had to plow this morning and it was 7 degrees outside. Glowed it for 8-10 seconds and GRAAAAPPP. Fired right up. I'm a happy camper.

You dont have to live with it Russ! your dealer should fix it for you at no charge -the vibration problems can lead to nerve damage eventually -it is whats referred to as woodcutters disease which was first diagnosed in japan after the wood cutters there started using chainsaws and got away from cutting trees by hand sawing as they always did.

Yes it is. Its made from a small garden tractor plow by my Wife's great Uncle. Works awesome for keeping the concrete clean in front of the garage when the snow is not to deep. Even has shoes and trip springs. I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my deck and parking pad where snow is concerned. If i get a half inch on it I clean it off.
