Did anybody try the race with the traction ctrl on?

how much wheel spin did you let happen? or was it
the key, not to let it happen,,,

Funny you ask there was a salesman from a local car dealer that ran a 2007 Envoy Denali (right of the lot, dealer plates on, sticker still in the window) and left the traction control on and you could watch the wheels spin independently searching for traction.

Yes it was key to prevent wheel spin. The very thing many guys missed.

3.42s, though I'm not sure how much differance it makes when the driver has to control throttle input

I will say that lane choice can make a big differance, which I won all 5 times

so, you had the same lane each time, which wasn't
getting the wheel spin (like the other), which kept
your traction up every run. I can imagine the other lane
was getting more and more slick as each person spun
out, maybe,
either way, congrats, sounds like you had some fun
on the ice and got a nice shiny reward!

That I did.

Surprising thing was is that the other lane started pulling more winners later on.
